Diebert: Affliction as poison or "unwholesome root"? The ego as illusion in both of your cases remains the "center" of upset that can occur by circumstance. Is it really important if the causes are serious, silly, mental, iron clad, deadly or heavenly? Not if we are dealing with roots. And yes, sometimes one indeed longs back for the longing itself: the notion of self-propelling, self-confirming and desire-desiring as creator, as world-builder.
This is the blessing of wisdom, one knows that every affliction is caused by the same cause, ignorance, the clinging to form, of which the appearance of affliction is included. The blessing of affliction-clinging post-wisdom is that when it comes, it is realized to be naught but 'bare naked' desire to, as you say, world-build (idea cling). Coming to this point on the road of understanding, it becomes easier and easier to stop the heap in its tracks and allow it to dissolve into [the blessing of] wisdom. I can see a point where the longing for the longing ends and the dissolution of the heap ceases being interpreted as an affliction and instead, becomes one's sole and joyful purpose or reason for being.

This description sounds like its pointing toward something mighty similar to what the description "empty and meaningless" is pointing toward.

As it happened, he saw your "system" as example of some general tendency on this forum. Or was it the other way around? Whatever, just another example of someone having understood a couple of things and then jumping to some self-serving attitude without any restraint or ability to separate his own shit and someone else's. You should take heed!

But a bit more thought went into it, more distinctions are being made with still some restrain. Also "it is realized" is not a state void of meaning. It's full of realization, just like it states.

How does the sound byte "house of languages, conceptual towers" help me to understand the metaphor you used? You gave me five words clumped together, no exposition, no reasoning, no context.
Pam,
We live in 'language houses'.
I say that all along.
Names and forms you've mentioned many times.

Jup,
Even a Buddha assesses his environment and comes up with winning formulas. If he didn't he wouldn't have attained Buddhahood. The difference is not in the absence of survival but in the type, i.e, wisdom or foolishness.
Winning formulae look like Warriorship.
Every bastard's trying to be a Mighty Warrior.

Are you trying to get a read without an e-meter, or the means with which to flatten a reading item? You haven't even given your unsuspecting PCs the requisite hatting that comprise auditing and/or sec check rudiments! What could you possibly achieve by doing this?

The purpose of TRs is to ensure the auditor—the person behind an e-meter, in an auditing session or a Sec Check—is communicating with his PC rather than dramatising his own case. You know, “ARC = KRC”.

When you get a moment, and if you still have a Tech Dictionary, look up the meaning of "BPC" and let me know what your thoughts are on it. If you don't have a Tech Dictionary, I can provide you with the definition.

If I were a CS, I would suspect an Ethics/Tech Repair was in order in your case and review your PC folder accordingly. The place would be ablaze with Ethics and Qual Chits.

Time to dispose of inefficient scripts altogether, my darling.

I've spend some time around Tibetan monks, and never did I get the impression they lusted for power. My impression was that they were humble...yet powerful in their faith and devotion...powerful, with hearts filled with compassion....and yes "Warrior-Like" in their life, filled with meditation and discipline , creating a strong faith and conviction in their practice.

Sorry about being too critical of your referring to them as "MY". I refer to my teacher, [a Tibetan monk], "My" Teacher, all the time...

Well I had to look it up and I found this amusing thing which I'll misapply just because it fits:
  • There is a thing known as a 'glib student'. It is a student who can repeat everything verbatim and yet can't demonstrate any practical ability in a subject. It is all glib memorizing with little or no real understanding ... To be able to have a teachable student, you need to cure him from all these complexities and additives. The first thing is of course to find and clear misunderstood words. But often this isn't enough. It is also necessary to find and strip the false data off a subject. Most of the time, these false data will be earlier in time than the true data. They are more basic in his reactive mind or memory. By locating them and stripping them away the whole subject can suddenly open up and now be understood.
Anyway, the whole CT business is about control through rather mindless "purposeless" conversations, not? Like "inquiries" being initiated constantly? Better to stone this primate behavior.

Fantastic. When it comes to John, he finds cause to be reminded he is not me. When it comes to you, you find cause to be reminded I am not your mother...
It's an Inquiry.
What on earth was the problem with the reply? Surely you couldn't be that offended by being called green!

Ah yes,
and you Diebert called forth 'pay heed'.
To what?
That's the Inquiry.

'Pay heed' is an instruction or indictment you've placed on others.

There's no answer, you pay attention, be mindful and stop controlling "conversations". Or you don't.
