It basically feels like an out of body experience, as it feels like you are part of the environment and your field of consciousness feels vast and more omnipresent in the immediate dancing environment.

I'm not sure thats necessarily true of the last 15 years or so.

Have you been to many Raves/Trance/Dance Parties? There's not alot of 'hooking up'.Dancing at those things although often done amongst thousands of others is a fairly individual experience.

Raves may have some potential for mystical states induced by trance, but most individuals aren’t there for that reason, they are usually doing ecstasy and other stimulants, which indicate that the are looking to experience sensual highs with their bodies, which is actually very sexual. Moreover, most Ravers are more interested in heightened sensual experiences, so I highly doubt any of them are open enough to experience a mystical state.

Basically, you have to be pretty open-minded, vacant, and free of desire to fall into a mystical trance. It's not going to work if you're lusting for sensual gratification all over your body....
