Avatars revisited

I uploaded a picture to an image hosting website, but for some reason it doesn't show up. It's 80x80 pixels, I add it to avatars under my profile, supposedly it comes through, but still it won't show up. Any suggestions?

Did you try to upload it instead of "link to it using external URL"? Maybe the uploading feature of the board isn't working or something.

What hosting service was it and did you use the correct url to enable it? Some of those places give you a few different possibilities and it can be confusing.

I hosted it at image shack and tried cutting and pasting all 5 links. Only one was acceptable as a .jpg that would be accepted, and it didn't work out. Any other suggestions for image hosting sites?

You should now be able to upload avatars to the server if you want to. I had folder permissions set wrongly.
