Re: Crucifixion
I have not been trying to surprise anyone with this group idea because honestly I was under the impression that no one would need convincing...
Did you need convincing to come on this forum? I didn't, I was excited to find that such a thing even existed.
I haven't found anything of the same quality as this forum as of yet, if I had, I would be posting on there and also on here.
If you are at a grade 5 level, being in grade 1 won't be as good for your education.
High level should be around high level for the simple reason that it brings about higher levels.
The more high level people are the more like minded they are. ( even if there are opposing opinions)
I have raised levels at a quicker rate than usual being on this forum, I will raise them even more quickly in this group. Level raising will be exponential with a group plus a forum.
That's my logical reason, I'm not going to try and surprise you.
( If that didn't work, I will try and surprise you)

What's it for the ultimate sake of?
brave new world?
you've got to get the scheme down pat in order to avoid suffering.
as an activity it's going to go down a well-worn track.

For the ultimate sake of planned and well thought out actions that will bring about contentment in the members and the world, mass awakenings and the mass fading away of suffering. ( Just until we can all agree on a clear and final "ultimate sake" to put at the top of the IM)
Let's put it another way....stop devaluing people because they are alive today.
If it were a group consisting of socrates, plato and others, you would be head over heels with the idea.

The internet is new.
^Another good enough reason that shows clearly we have not yet glimpsed our potential, we have not looked over the fence at the grass, we have not rolled this oddly shaped boulder up the hill, it might be the first not to come down, we can't know until we try.

Re: Crucifixion
What you are talking about Buddha called Buddha Nature.
Human nature, human being.
Big Wheel turning.
World transforming endlessly.
not miraculous, quite ordinary.
consensual realities emerging, lived through, changed.
today's theory gone tomorrow.
100 years ago they were riding around on horses with six guns strapped on.
presently I have a bit part, support role in a project, a machine that has contaminated water passing through a series of magnets, magnetic field,
the water is coming out the other side clean.
There is no filtration catching the contaminants.
The contaminants somehow disappear which throws current physics models out the window.
It's extremely puzzling.
The idea forming is that 'the memory of water is restored to water'.
early days, see how it goes.
The Buddha's thing is the memory of Buddha Nature restored to human being.
The restoration of that nature is completely ordinary.
What is not that nature is drama.

How is what you said relevant?

Re: Crucifixion
I started the skype text chat that will always be there...
This is what gets repeated in the chat (No where else to put it at the moment)
'Group is open to any kind of discussion or goals.
To collectively assist others in achieving whatever it is they wish to achieve.
Mutual respect for members is to be given without conditions.
All disagreement or opposition must be void of resentment, insults, mockery, or anything less than constructive collaboration.
A group of contemplation, planning and action.'
(This can be changed upon improvement, didn't put much thought)
Only 5 or 6 members so far, anyone that members recommend as intelligent will be joined.
Do you consider this distasteful in any way, or have I breached my terms of enlightenment? If not I would like to invite you Dennis, you would make a valued member in my opinion.
Temporary platform until a better one is created or found.

Your projection, you put there what you put there,"a dream or miraculous image projected!"
you're the meaning maker.
with familiarity it is completely ordinary.
Re: Crucifixion
The crowd is untruth.SeekerofWisdom asks: Do you consider this [group-make] distasteful in any way [?]
SeekerofWisdom, in my estimation, you already have everything you need, and everywhere you go, here, there, anywhere, for the decent “intelligent” conversation you crave with other persons. It’s not necessary to in-group, out-group them, for you’ve already demonstrated your internal organizer that does this for you (people you deem worthy; people you don’t). I’d submit you are already “grouping,” and in doing so will cloud over again and again the truth of the individual in favor of the false-entity/assignment of “group.”
Pursuing that dynamic for its own sake will be distasteful to you by default, since it’s driven by taste/distaste to begin with. And it will lead you to untruths – already demonstrated - that begin with notions like “the people” on this forum are this, or they are that, when you might never really know what each is because you are grouping them.
It’s distasteful to me to in-group out-group anything. It, by default, leads away from the truth and puts a different, intrusive dynamic in its place.
If you are to gather, lead, or whatever, it will happen without making the gathering and the leading the point. It will happen by default, if you're onto something . . . . .

It's all looking a bit gung-ho.Do you consider this distasteful in any way, or have I breached my terms of enlightenment?
If you are going to stick your neck out and create a conversation that 'breaks thru' for human being.
What has to be known is what is going to show up in the conversation.
The people coming in are in their history.
bringing their past along behind them like carrying a heavily-weighted back pack.
The shared human experience inherited, the conditioning, has people wary of each other.
In each soliloquoy there is a determination to avoid domination by others.
Coming in, openness isn't available in the set of options.
It may look that way in the honeymoon period.
What usually comes in is 'victimness'.
The victimness is the Story.
To have people creating from their greatest possibility which is projecting the kind of world they think the world could be which calls forth the kind of actions that produces that,
how are you going to cope with the victim story as it rears up, the ingrained cynicism, complacency, axes to grind.
You can't just make a rule up saying 'no resentments allowed' when the thing that's coming in is often a hard shell of resentments.
What is called for initially is an authentic 'clearing of the air'.
How do you get that with rapidfire IMs?
the 'clearing of the air' takes a long time and a lot of dedicated listening.
What does pushing from behind mean to you?
This is the drill:
we all come in related,
we all go out related,
there's never a condition 'not related'.
dependent origination.
There is always/already available a possibility for relationship.

A curious mind wants to know. Is this about the Magmom or something similar? Removes ferrous particles, some bacteria and other stuff possibly. Does it also address calcium? I've heard about water memory & mimicry before but that was in the context of homeopathy, which at least would explain some of the claims. Enlighten me!Dennis Mahar wrote:Presently I have a ... support role in a project, a machine that has contaminated water passing through a series of magnets. My mate is a buddy of an inventor in NSW called Joe.
Joe came up with the Joe Cell.
My mate is in constant communication with Joe.
My mate builds and installs Joe Cells.
Sometimes I help him.
We go round together collecting water samples from creeks and dams, run the contaminated water thru' the cell and get it tested at a lab.
My mate has recently hooked up with a Govt. environmental scientist who seems interested.
There's a you tube clip of Joe demonstrating his Joe Cell water purifier.

-Pye
I am referring to a chat, almost exactly like a forum, the only difference being it is Instant Messaging, ( I would love to see an IM feature on here but there isn't so hence this idea...)everyone is allowed to have their own beliefs and talk about whatever they want, as long as it is not insulting and is spoken with respect.
You really are over doing it I think, wouldn't you say? why are you on this forum? you are going to be lead to untruths! run away pye, quickly!
It is a chat, text chat, like here, except instant message, if it scares you, you don't have to participate... in a chat, which might open up a lot of new avenues, it is not in opposition of a forum. Just thought I'd try the color thing out.
Dennis
Pushing from behind: an example....
Dennis, you know we are all teachers for each other, and that the right words or actions from others can bring about great happiness in yourself, and you also want to do more with what you have. You can help people, achieve things with help from others,(or not, you could just read and not type anything if you wanted...) and if it sounds distasteful at the time, it sounds like its going in the wrong direction, you can even help people to notice that, or just sit out.
For example the first conversation I had in the group was about happiness, how to make one of the members more happy and what factors might lead to happiness and contentment.
Also, I said I would impress you if my invitation to the chat wasn't enough... (Really...I'm having to do this? This could only ever happen on GF... )
I'll think of a way to surprise you with the notion and get back to you... I've got a few things in mind.

Re: Crucifixion
I say from experience and reflection of experience and conversations I've had.
When a victim story shows up:
Giving advice is like giving a bandaid.
When a victim story shows up:
That person knows deep down the cause of their own unhappiness. For example the first conversation I had in the group was about happiness, how to make one of the members more happy and what factors might lead to happiness and contentment
Giving advice is like giving a bandaid.

Re: Crucifixion
We were talking more about specific factors, for example some poorer countries can have a higher "happiness index", assuming such a thing is accurate, due to their community lifestyle, as opposed to the first world which allows for a lot more isolation and isolated entertainment.
But yes it is always true that if one is honest with themselves they will see clearly what makes them unhappy.
"Giving advice is like a bandaid"
Have you not been giving advice this whole time? In my opinion, any kind of conversation can be advice, (or can be learnt from) if you are looking at it in the right way. You know as well as me you don't have a real reason not to participate as it is only an IM version of chat, the chat can be about anything, just like on here, the only difference being that the mutual respect and tone of collaboration is something that we have all agreed upon.

I'm not giving advice.
I'm probing with you the creation of a conversational environment where 'breakthru' happens.
You think you've got it together.
I'm looking at it.
I invite you to take on what I'm saying or get rid of it.
You're pretty down on logic but you're using it all the time in the way that you use it.
What's going on with that?

Again, how can one talk about the extent of their witness without being ridiculed? Because it is relevant here.
How could one have a clue which breaktrhus I've had that you haven't?
The same way i can't have a clue which ones you've had that I haven't.

It's irrelevant talking about one's status.
That's one's own conversation one has with oneself.
The conversation could be about creating a conversational environment where breakthru' happens.
That's not personal.
It's the machinery.
What happens in that space when that space is opened up.
That space is authentic sharing and listening according to me.
That post BofI shared about his father and his father's friend with cancer blew my mind.
BofI took me right in there in that post and changed me about BofI.
I am indebted to BofI for putting me in touch.

Re: Crucifixion
It is personal, only in how far each individual has gotten, how many breakthroughs, how deep the understandings goes.
Words are no indication in this except for recognizing the truth in the basic descriptions of what one understands, the honest descriptions. For example Alex indicated depth in understand by stating one of his simple and honest opinions on our experiences:
"I think that we control our life and our destiny from an invisible center inside ourselves and that we somehow choose a great deal of what happens to us."
He didn't logically deduce this belief, he felt it, as you feel things and know, all wisdom is sourced from your sensual experiences and your understanding of them, language only refers to other peoples direct experiences, for different people, it refers to different direct experiences and different understandings. Language and language-based thought is inconsistent when communicating, it is unreal, it is not a real or consistent depiction, it can't be used in the way most have been using it, at least not if we want real conversation.
If we can forget the detail, and start talking based on how we "feel about things"(the source of all wisdom), you will find our philosophical discussions to be much more realistic, which will allow us to find deeper understandings.

It's just gonna go round and round.
I'll just say there are causes/conditions for suffering.
The Sherlock approach which involves dedicated listening and the occasional request for clarification.
Uncovers the truth of the situation.
The suffering was a case of faulty reasoning.

Diebert,
It's from my mate who, in his passion, is given over to hyperbole.
So don't tell a soul.
OK?
Australia has abundant reserves of black coal which is dirty fuel environmentally,
it also has reserves of brown coal which is a significantly cleaner fuel.
Where there's coal there's water.
The hearsay is that the cell, in changing the water in the black coal environment turns the black coal to more like the properties of brown coal thus making it a cleaner fuel.
I don't know if that's true.
We'll wait and see.
I probably shouldn't say this because it's hearsay.Ah, the Joe Cell..... is that the one with the orgone energy? My first impression is that you've been taken for a ride, but then again, we all need one. The invention certainly has power.
