GF is not for the weak of mind
90% of the time users join they end up getting 'harassed' to the point that their ego cannot handle it any more and they lash out and quit.
I would only like to say 'bravo' to the users who stayed around.
I still think that, for the future, we should be a little more aware of the unstable positions people are in and vary our responses to suit them. It is the unstable ones that need the most time and help.
I am usually surprised at how blinding egotism and clinging can be. Not just on the forum. It seems that even with straight forward explanations, and various clear confrontations of the real problem, people are simply unable to see the truth.
No matter how clear it is, they cannot see past their own attachments and are completely unaware of themselves.
Hence, when we are suiting our future responses to their various needs, it seems to me that a form of deception, or at least a prolonging of discussion, is absolutely necessary to surpass the ego before any real confrontation is made.

I don't know how much of a say I have in this matter as I'm new here myself but I think that taking a more gentle approach to strangers at first is a good way to get them to listen to what you have to say. If you sound derisive and insulting toward a new person who is not yet enlightened enough to see the truth in such harsh words they will likely dismiss the message itself and leave this forum altogether and possibly never benefit at all. I see most people with the mind of a child, not in an insulting way, just noting that they have much to learn and should be nurtured along their path in life to grow into wise and productive people.

True that, we'll have to keep it in mind next time.
"I see most people with the mind of a child,"
I agree completely. You asked for advice before, first piece is to know that it is a long process. The final step will be understanding that there is nothing more to achieve or gain, non-action and not clinging to desires, the recognition that all things are manifestations of consciousness, that your Self is only a transient experience and that experience is eternal. Pretty much sums it up. That was a favor.
Here is another, eventually you'll thank me if you haven't seen it,

2300 year old easy to read poetic "Tao te ching" by Lao Tzu, the central figure of Taoism. (Enlightened guy)

It is a strange revelation to appreciate the unique reality of our irrational emotive agitation and to see with what constancy we lie to
ourselves on the subject.
ourselves on the subject.

So, what's the strategy?
knowing the terrain.
all is empty,
impermanence,
non-self
all about is Spirit animated in one form or another.

the tao is not the tao.
anyway, you can turn into a Quote Machine to look impressive in social situations and appear like a Leader.
language is built on a split of subject/ object.
not that.

You are clearly just making that up, pushing some random idea as an intention.

If it can be told it isn't it. I'm not sure what it means to live on a pink cloud and yes I noticed.
