I haven't read the book, but judging from reviews of it Walsch seems to utilize logic strongly in order to reach his conclusions - such as drawing out the implications of God being "everything". He might not be fully conscious of this, though.

Intuition is a tool and as such needs to be used properly. The same thing with experience, I find. Everybody experiences, just by being awake as opposed to being asleep, and I mean that literally not in any philosophical way. Two people can experience the exact same thing, and process it in entirely different ways. What the rational mind makes of experiences - and we can say all perceptions are experiences, is really the only thing that matters. Does one pay attention in the moment? Does one devote sufficient time to analyzing experiences when called for? Is one the kind of person who in fact feels that analysis is ever called for? Many if not most people appear to get by with minimal reflection. I find myself incapable of criticizing such people---perhaps they are blessed in ways I am not. If I am reading you correctly, David, you are saying if one's intuition is to be of any use, it must hold up to analytical rigor. I may intuit a truth or a position or idea; in my mind, it may seem to come out of nowhere. But that is where people get deceived, I think. Such an idea is always caused, and it is the process of reflection which unearths its cause or causes, which brings this idea to a point at which one can call it true or not true, and leaving the door open for further development, further scrutiny. I am with you David if you are insisting that ultimately one's rational faculties must be brought to bear.

Conversations with God turns out to be just another winning formula for human being to attach to..just like Bob's Adam and Eve and Nietschke's Superman...
Winning formulas are just about how to cope with the surface of things. They look fantastic and powerful and the attacher feels bulletproof and gets around in size 10 jackboots kicking arse.
Winning formulas are empty and meaningless.

GF drives way below the surface of things.
Discovers that winning formulas are not in and of themselves, stand-alone, solid, permanent, unchanging.
They're just some bullshit the attacher is standing in for the time being.

They depend for their existence on causes/conditions...pieces/parts...and a meaning hungry junkie to attach which is also caused..

All that depends for it's existence is empty of a permanent, unchanging nature.
Attaching to anything empty of a permanent, unchanging nature is meaningless.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A human can be caused in to the experience of 'beginner's mind' but it's called 'beginner's' for a very good reason.
Beginner's Mind breaks through the deceptions prevailing on the surface, fills with astonishment about the chicanery, feels bulletproof, is confident it can get in there and fix it. Sets up a winning formula to get around with that looks unbeatable.
Doesn't work for long.
The rose gets hammered, the bloom fades.
The beginner experiences forlorness, crestfalleness.
The beginner now gets the necessity of wisdom and goes deeper for it and the rose blooms again.
Beginners Mind is headstrong.
Can't put an old head on young shoulders.
It has to live it.

Yes, the Gold! And the days of all the many failed, celibate gurus, messiahs, FOTIs, etc. are soon over. Done!
Dennis Mahar wrote:The yoking of Adam and Eve in such a way has to take place in order to have the 'for the ultimate sake of which'.

Are you saying that the dethroning of Adam as head of the household has directly caused the miserable desensitisation of people and woeful state of Society?
Yes, but it (the 'fall') was simply a necessary event in the making and the perfecting of man. Though the resultant human desensitization that took place in the process is of a grave, tragic, and very largely irreparable nature. Hence the need for a grand-cleansing of a great portion of the human species from the planet. Which is also soon ahead.
Dennis Mahar wrote:That raising Adam to his rightful perch is the winning formula that sets things right?
Yes, the world continues to await the new, perfected, and sin-free Adam. Who will be co-joined with his perfected and sin-free Eve. This team also being known in some circles as the 'Spirit and the bride'.

Yes Bob, it's a winning formula.
For it to win a set of rules has to come about.
People have to be organised in to roles, play their roles precisely, and the whole thing structured up with Adam ruling the roost.
That means it depends for it's existence.

Because it depends for it's existence it's an appearance, it's not of the nature permanent, unchanging.

I can tell you your Life.
35 years ago Beginner's Mind switched on.
You looked around you and at once you were appalled and astonished at the inauthenticity of the ego survival machine running about on the surface.

You started to tell everybody and tried to fix them up.

They didn't get it.

You became more insistent to such a point people thought you were a nutter and disconnected from you.

You spent years isolated, forlorn, crestfallen.

You met the new Eve and the rose has bloomed again.

So, the Adam and Eve thing has become the winning formula.

Go ahead and enjoy it. I'm happy for you and find you inspiring to a degree.

The understanding of GF speaks to you and says:

the formula is dependant on you having an Eve supporting you...
and that,
Eve's presence in the way Eve needs to be for the formula to work is by no means certain..

It's useless coming round here with your size 10 jackboots kicking arse.

What GF is looking at is what's permanent and unchanging.

Yes. Basically it all hinges on desire. If a person truly wants to understand the nature of reality, such that it becomes an all-consuming desire, then he will naturally utilize every resource at his disposal. He will maximize his reasoning powers and push his intuitive abilities as far as they can go. The last thing he would do is try to curb either one of these. That would be unthinkable.

And if there is a clash between what his intuition/experience is telling him and what his reasoning says must be true, then he needs to trust his reasoning and challenge the validity of his intuitions and experiences. For intuition/experience can deceive.

But people often fall away at this point because they have emotionally invested in their intuitive insights - their happiness, security, sense of identity, etc, becomes wrapped up in their religious experiences - and so reason is pushed away. Their own egos are more important than truth.

This makes sense to me. But if he can maximize his reasoning powers, he can minimize them as well. He also has the options of where to focus them. All these things sound like will, though, don't they? It sounds as if one has a choice or choices. How does that square with the often-stated position at GF that such choice is illusory, that one is caused to act as one does? When I try to picture the MOTI philosophy in its entirety, this is always where I see its navel, as it were. This to me is the crux of everything.

When the reasoning is done.
What's there is:

Absence.

It was always there.

It's actually screaming, deafening.
Not really, it's silent and invisible and unmistakably present.
You can't say stuff about it really.
You can't say it's patient, beautiful or it loves you.

Absence.
Unbounded, free.
It's all around and you get distracted because something seems to matter.

If you can explain to me how absence is unmistakably present you've won me.

It was waiting to drop in.

What seems to matter is:
'Keep your hands off my stash'.
