Re: (Women) Chapter 31 - Quotations from Mao Tse Tung
The first paragraph of the Marxist link states a common misconception used by feminists:
Whilst true, this doesn't take into account the man's own obligation to the family and his boundedness thereto. Even the head of a household is dominated by it. This is something most people don't seem able to see.A man in China is usually subjected to the domination of three systems of authority [political authority, family authority and religious authority].... As for women, in addition to being dominated by these three systems of authority, they are also dominated by the men (the authority of the husband).

This site throws up some very taboo threads. I find that a reply can be more harmful than good. All I am going to say is that women disobey their role in nature, they have rebelled against it. It messes up the system. And it's because men took advantage of their own role, and used it to overpower women far too liberally.

Well, they are all pretty neurotic. What else can you expect? It does not matter what system or set of values you have if those who share them are not rational.Pincho Paxton wrote:This site throws up some very taboo threads. Well where did their rationality go? Nature seems to be in harmony until it reaches mankind, then it falls apart. We have been studied, weighed and found wanting...Pincho Paxton wrote:Well where did their rationality go? Nature seems to be in harmony until it reaches mankind, then it falls apart. The vast majority of Native Europeans are in cities, not their natural environment. Their DNA shows that they evolved in villages of 150-300 over the course of the last 10,000 years, and they are just not equipped to deal with large masses.
Hominids are not a herd species even the power elite and its media operate on that assumption. It only works to a limited extent, and every generation becomes a little more neurotic. Ever since the Romans, we see the idea that the cities are cesspools of depravity and the country people, the original 'pagans', were hard working and honest.
NPR this afternoon had some author saying that 70% of the American students are not proficient at their grade level. But get out your atlas, and look up the small Ozark hill towns where most of the kids are still growing up on family farms and in villages. Places like Alread, Batesville, Clinton, Deer, Eureka Springs, Flippin, Greer's Ferry, Heber Springs...
http://normessasweb.uark.edu/reportcards/select.php
and what do we see at Alread?
Attendance Rate 97.6
Dropout Rate 0%
Graduation Rate 83.3
Batesville? only 18.8% are not grade level proficient.
Clinton? only 8% are not grade level proficient.
Look at the ACT:
Mathematics 20.4
English 21.2
Composite 21
The Romans would not be surprised. Nor Gibbon, who noted that almost all of the successful and competent Roman emperors grew up on a farm out in the boonies. Many of them never even set foot in Rome, and after the Claudians, *none* of the successful Emperors grew up in Rome.
Why else do you spoze that half of the Green Berets grew up on family farms, when those farm familes are a mere 1% of the population? *Believe* me, those young men had lots of other career opportunities. The unemployment rate for NW Arkansas is 3%. No, as Gibbon noted, this is where the true patriots come from. They were born and raised on it, and still care about the land. Aint like that in the city. Lotsa old neighborhoods have been bulldozed.
But the caves, woods, creeks and swimming holes the boys who grew up here knew, are still here. That kind of thing provides a center that urbanites dont have. When my son graduated from Leslie high in 1996, I found out that 25% of the class scored above the 95th percentile.
Yet these social scientists in the media go on about the problems, never looking at the communities where people still know how to live. The Chinese, of all people, have got it figured out. They are building multistory modern apartment buildings, moving everyone in, then tearing down the village to make the land available for farming.
So now, these rural folks have dish tV, Internet, professional tutoring online for their kids, along with modern bathrooms and kitchens. Homes that are easier heat, maybe even air condition at an affordable level. Yet their ancestral sense of place is still outside, the same livestock, fields, rivers, mountains, and graveyards they have always known.
But the social scientists are all urbanites so they just dont get it.

What I got from those quotes was that Mao needed more laborers to support his nation so he indoctrinated the women. Maybe that has happened in the U.S. too and now families suffer because of it?
Re: (Women) Chapter 31 - Quotations from Mao Tse Tung
Give your "maybe" a percentage scale..based on your knowlidge of the matter. eg: Maybe #%Yes Maybe#%NoZen wrote:What I got from those quotes was that Mao needed more laborers to support his nation so he indoctrinated the women. Then stick to the one that has the higher number and remove the word "maybe" and substitute it with "probably" or "most likely". Unless its 50/50 .. then leave it.
Is it maybe 50/50?
Edit: Just a thought.. Helps in making up ones mind. ;-)
