What is of worth in this world?
Is there anything of any value?
Does a wise man value anything?
It is an intelligent statement to suggest that most human pursuits are vain and meaningless?
I would like to hear from you because perhaps this old boy has grown a little too nihilistic?
Is complete nihilism the only path to truth?
Jesus suggested that the gate to heaven is very narrow, what did he mean by that?
what is of worth in this world?

Only what you choose to value.cosmic_prostitute wrote:What is of worth in this world?

Truth and wisdom.Does a wise man value anything?
Most human pursuits are selfish, and short-sighted, so they necessarily have relatively little or no meaning. This would be a bad thing if you valued selflessness and meaning. It is an intelligent statement to suggest that most human pursuits are vain and meaningless?
A true nihilist wouldn't value his nihilism, so he would cease to be a nihilist. But he could only do this if he puts value on truth. There's no way around putting value on something.I would like to hear from you because perhaps this old boy has grown a little too nihilistic?
Is complete nihilism the only path to truth?
There are many ways to side-step the Truth, but there is only one way to accept it.Jesus suggested that the gate to heaven is very narrow, what did he mean by that?
There's only one way to give away all of your money, but there's lots of ways you can hide some of it away and hoard it.
Re: what is of worth in this world?
Define "worth" and you will find out yourself.cosmic_prostitute wrote:What is of worth in this world?

Depends who is this "wise man" the people who are commonly known as "wise man" valued the togas and sandals, could there be a clue there?Does a wise man value anything?
I will tell you when you die.It is an intelligent statement to suggest that most human pursuits are vain and meaningless?
so you are afraid to become something and want somone to tell you what you should be? You sure you are old? and a boy? well ok, stop being so ego centred and neurotic about yourself. Stop talking in absolutes that end with (ism)(nihilism, fashism, comunism, budism, spiritalism, islamism, moralism, taoism, atheism etc) and just BE. Your pathetic atemts at pretending to be someting else look foolish to me. (yes i can see the irony of motivating you with that statement)I would like to hear from you because perhaps this old boy has grown a little too nihilistic?
I would say no, but then again what do i know?Is complete nihilism the only path to truth?
and joe said santa comes down the chimney, maybe they ment the same thing? I'll ask joe and get back to you on that one.Jesus suggested that the gate to heaven is very narrow, what did he mean by that?

Life has value, is value, and gives all else value.cosmic_prostitute wrote:What is of worth in this world?

A wise person values everything as a reflection of life.
No human pursuits are of themselves vain and meaningless because their pursuit is evidence of life.
There now, no one can get too little of nothingness.
Nihilism is not a path to truth; it is a path to nothingness, and truth is less than nothing. Get off the main drag. Take the scenic route.
Jesus meant that you can come, but you have to leave the wide glide Harley in the here and now. Don't worry, it will sell.

Stop being so selfish, and allow me to delude others by projecting a false image that isnt really there....
and in terms of isms. its my post and I'll use isms if I want to, you would use isms too, if my life was opposed on you.... Come on, everyone sing along....
Anyway, very intelligent post. I cannot refute any of this.
