What Culture Philosophy Besides Your Own Do You Prefer Over Others?
To read the wisdom of Chinese philosophy is to appreciate the words of greatness. "Confucius according to Chinese tradition, was a thinker, political figure, educator, and founder of the Ru School of thought."
Fung Yu-lan, an authority on the history of Chinese thought, compares Confucius' influence in Chinese history with that of Socrates in the West.
To read India's Vedic wisdom is to realize it as one of the great spiritual and philosophical classics of the world.
BHAGAVAD-GITA AS IT IS
Text 40: But ignorant and faithless persons who doubt the revealed scriptures do not attain God consciousness; they fall down. For the doubting soul there is happiness neither in this world nor in the next.
Text 11: To show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.
Text 10: To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.
Who can turn me onto other great philosophy?

Re: What Culture Philosophy Besides Your Own Do You Prefer?
I think its all summed up in the statement: Seek comfort and ultimately find neither comfort nor truth. Seek truth and find both.
I don't remember who said it. But clearly its not the same kind of comfort as the comfort one would be seeking if they were seeking comfort. That's the issue, is that in the pursuit of comfort we are operating on delusional premises which confuse the whole project. If we seek after truth our ideals are altered in the process until we eventually realize that what is, is what is ultimately desirable. Having things so nicely put together and organized into discernible phenomena with which we can conduct individual lives. This is no small task and some people gotta suffer to make it work. Its all part and parcel of the package of existence. If it ought to be some other way its beyond me what way that could be. If things were freely moving about in dysregulation then life would be unpredictable and impossible to establish an identity in. Although identity stands as the obstacle to truth, it is also that with which we establish our existence. I think all of that is contained within the statement, but the statement is more of an instruction that doesn't contain any claims about what truth one might find which is handy. The long standing tradition of talking about matters indirectly does have a place I think, as much as I'd rather it didn't. Its another of those things included in the package.

Very well put!
I see comfort in truth, truth being one's self. One's self being part of a whole consciousness of pure divided energy we call God.
