The higgs boson may have finally been found if word on the internet is founded and so confirming the existence of the higgs mechanism which gives mass to particles. It does this by creating an abstract field (background) on which all the fundamental particles are set . Direction is defined in this field and we may also make use of concepts such as going against the grain, and going with the grain. Things that go against the grain pick up resistance and it is this resistance that "causes" particles to gain mass. Things that go fully with the grain such as photons and mass-less neutrinos have no mass at all as a consequence and particles moving at different angles against the grain have differing masses.

Can pure philosophers learn something from an excerpt out of a "natural philosophers" hand book?

Lets define an abstract logical field on which particulars (the nominalistic universe) are placed. Different vectors (direction x angle) representing different "artifacts" of the field_+_ particulars where the artifacts are superventions of the vectors. Just as the higgs mechanism gives mass (a universal) to particulars , perhaps this field endows particulars with other types of universals.

Before we move on i think i order to distinguish the higgs field from my abstract field so we ought to give it a name , so now i will throw all modesty to the wind and call it the chik_field:)

Again we need to look back at the higgs mechanism and see something striking. It is a mechanism that gives a particular a universal.
So simmilarly we would expect that the chikoka mechanism gives a universal to the particulars it acts upon.
Remember the vectors we spoke of above, what do they represent. We could imagine this mechanism endowing sentience to to the artifacts spoken of earlier and the different artifacts along a descrete chik_space representing different sentiences. Of all these sentiences there would be one that goes with the grain and would appropriately be known as God. More evidence for this is in the way a universal can be fully present at different places at the same time. Just like what we would expect from (a) God.

Those moving against the grain would represent more and more limited sentience.

Problems with this is in the exact nature of the chik_field but just as no explanation is given for the higgs mechanism (and its not really required if you think about it) i don't need to offer one for it.(its primitive).
I seem to have applied an arbitrary property to the chik_mechanism by positing it is responsible for causing consciousness but i am just taking the precedence of those who posited the 2 nuclear forces and then went on to discover their carrier particles. i am working backwards from an observed situation (the presence of sentience) to find out what it must be based on.

I'm toying with this idea to develop it further to state specifically that the chik_mechanism is that which makes "causation" possible. Normal "billiard ball" causation working fully in those particulars moving totally against the grain in the chik_field , and God ,since he goes with the grain fully is not affected by particularity causation and can do other more interesting things. We ,having lesser causal power ,are affected by the normal causal flow of things but we have some power to break the chain.

This could or couldn't be true .
