which are you?
which are you?
from glancing around I keep thinking the same thing... there are two types of people here; seekers or illuminators. where are the people that are both?

Re: which are you?
You wouldn't want seekers to be acting like the illuminators would you? That would be a case of the blind leading the blind.
Even for those who know the highest truth, there is still much work to do — not so much in the area of seeking, but in the area of purifying and perfecting.

You think you are both. You are seeking others who are similarly egotistical and deluded.from glancing around I keep thinking the same thing... there are two types of people here; seekers or illuminators. where are the people that are both?

That would be the anti-Socrates, wouldn't it?Kevin Solway wrote:You wouldn't want seekers to be acting like the illuminators would you?

egotistical and deluded is something I have not been called yet.....I'll take a guess you are a seeker as you didn't illuminate much. if things are not multilayered I get skeptical to unbelief. Goethe was both a seeker and illuminator when you look at his work.

Could you wrap the above in a few more layers? I'm getting skeptical.gtroy wrote:egotistical and deluded is something I have not been called yet.....I'll take a guess you are a seeker as you didn't illuminate much. if things are not multilayered I get skeptical to unbelief.
Why does that make you appreciate him more, and not less? Sounds mighty egotistical of him to lead people to where he is when he's lost.Goethe was both a seeker and illuminator when you look at his work.

Re: which are you?
I don't take writing advice from someone who can't write, or ask for directions from a man lost in a desert, or learn how to solve a math problem from someone who's still seeking the answer. Theorists have a method. If I call a lost man a seeker, I would have to use an entirely different definition of "seeker" to call a methodical thinker a seeker. It is the difference between a man in a raft, drifting with the ocean currents to any sort of land, and a man navigating by stars or compass with clear destination in mind.
Language is ambiguous enough to allow that both be called seekers, but by different definitions. So, if that's the case, I would take a case up with the choice of these two categories. The categories are so broad as to say nothing whatsoever about someone.

Well, I definitely think I am both, although there's a tiny possibility some here might disagree.from glancing around I keep thinking the same thing... there are two types of people here; seekers or illuminators. where are the people that are both?
Pay no attention to Prince, he's our resident demonic imp, some kind of forum mascot. I can't tell if he's real or artifact. I think he might be an artificial intelligence program someone is working on.
Truth is a pathless land.

That's the whole point, you don't think.

Yes, Anna, "Prince" is a lightweight.
