Søren Kierkegaard

Post by James80 »

Hi, my name is James; I was wondering if anyone here is a reader of the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard

There are two questions that Kierkegaard wanted to ask and thoroughly discuss. Kierkegaard's philosophical question is "What does it mean to live as an authentic human being?" Kierkegaard's theological question is "What does it mean to become a true Christian?" Definitely the former question is what interests me greatly about him; the second question is interesting from a sociological perspective.

I wonder if anyone thinks Kierkegaard's exposition about the nature of Christianity; his emphasis of the Absolute Paradox of God as man, the need to suffer on the quest to Christan selfhood, and terrifying need to let go of reason and leap served to undermine the Christian religion and frighten "fake" Christians away from Christianity.

Because I think Kierkegaard saw himself as a "fake" Christian, and thus not a true Christian at all; as he wrote in the Attack Upon Christendom literature: "I am not a Christian; and it is rash to conclude that because I can show that others are not Christians, then I myself must be one, just as rash as to conclude, for example, that someone who is one-fourth of a foot taller than others is, ergo, twelve feet tall."

The logic of space entails one to re-enact the following subjects: Are we real? Do we have a calling? Is space just another number? Truth.

"What separates a genius from a christian theologian" is what I think Kierkegaard is asking "but a bid of farwell to outerspace." I read it furthermore and undoubtely he hones in his zeros. Call it " space drama."
What a phenomena.
