What is confusion and why does this state-of-mind happen to us (periodically or perpetually). For some reason, when I get confused, I slip into a state of Ultimate Reality. I no longer think about anything and I feel at peace with myself. Further, that which was confusing, no longer exists. It used to be different. I would continue to think about the problem until I had solved it. I guess the difference is that I let my subconscious deal with it, rather than try to consciously figure it out.
Questions: what is an appropriate definition of confusion and why does it occur? *ready... set... GO!*

Re: Confusion
As you grow in understanding, new understanding challenges what you thought you knew. It doesn't feel good to 'not know,' but the purpose is to create a new foundation of knowing in whatever the area of confusion. To help you trust something new.

Re: Confusion
There's no challenge for the new understanding simply because of that very reason - it's new understanding. It's not unlike a person growing an extra 3 inches. Does the 3 inches challenge the previous height? No.
Define: confusion, please.

The new understanding in one area may lead to experiences creating confusion in another area.

Re: Confusion
I want to solve all confusion! I'm still confused over women. Yes, I discovered that Woman was a LIE, and now I try to control it as it once controlled me. But how strange it is to both love and hate the same thing - this LIE - but at least I can still love something in this grey world! My love now is to conquer, but in doing so I am again conquered, slaving away to mold myself to a different set of her wishes, again trying to fill a void with a void. I am not free but have transfered the cuffs from my legs to my hands. Why do I not see that there are no cuffs at all, but that I grit my teeth a squeeze my hands together harder and of my own will anytime something floats by to loosen them?
I am a stubborn ass.
I drink constantly from a poisonous cup, occasionally waking up, tasting and feeling how corrosive it is in my mouth and belly, but to fix it I fall back asleep and become awashed again with its "sweetness". Why not just put the cup down? These words themselves are a dreamy sweetness.
