A quick hello

Post by outofthebox »

I'd like to say hello to everybody here.
I"m so relieved to find this website. It's nice to know that there are like-minded people out there.

A cursory examination of the thread has given me pause however. It appears that some have confused book smarts with true genius. I've found that academia and genius are two totally different animals. Academics have a voluminous knowledge of book smarts, while true genius seems to be above that sort of drivel.

I've never been able to effectively converse with a book smart person because they tend to be of a closed mind. They know all the big words and can put some tretty sentences together and give a real impression of genius, but when you take them out of the box they get lost.

My God given ability has caused me great harm to my soul. I've been imprisoned, tortured and beaten because I either scared or intimidated the powers that be. Many men have suffered the same fate. The powers that be are prone to insecurity and often feel threatened by change or something different. Socrates, Copernicus, Jesus and others have all fell victim to the insecurity of the powers that be.

They tell me that they truly believe my power to be supernatural but they just can't decide if it's altruistic or malevolent. Local and national media have dubbed me "RASPUTIN". That may be a bad omen, but I'd probably feel the same way if they dibbed me "SOCRATES" or something similar.

They say I'm dangerous because I discovered the cure for all sickness and disease and I found the lost Ark of the Covenant.
The cure is available to all for almost no cost. That makes them concerned about the demise of the health care industry and social security. Sickness is economically healthy and death is encouraeged in a time when social security is threatened.
The Ark of the Covenant has caused me a great deal of suffering because it denotes armageddon and trouble in the land of trouble: Israel
Just goes to show me that I'm not as smart as they think I am because I actually believed my quests to be worthy and would be celebrated.

In this day of realty TV, I thought it might be fun to create a show called "Out of the Box". Sort of an "Apprentice" for America, with America as the boss, instead of Trump. Where "The Apprentice" uses book smart folks, "Out of the Box" would use real genius' to slove complex problems for comapnies, towns and individuals.

Anyway, so nice to find you all. i hope to log on nightly for an hour before bed every nite. I like to sleep from 2 to 8 a.m. , so I'm something of a night owl. I'm a self-employed genius. People give me money to solve problems for them. Most of them aren't rich so it pays poorly. I do have tons of IOU's though.

Thinking outside the box? Hell, most people can't think INSIDE the box. (Or think their way out of a paper bag, for that matter.) It takes a fair amount of intelligence to construct a "box" (paradigm).

You must realize that sounds pretty crazy. Can you give some reason why you should be taken seriously, rather than assumed to be a nut?

Hello outofthebox.
The cure is available to all for almost no cost.
So how much does it actually cost?

Perhaps "outofthebox" could provide us with his real name so we can look at his claims of being known to the media etc.

Bet that won't happen. Bet none of the questions asked in this thread get answered.

I'm assuming that your cure is stem cells, outofthebox? I haven't heard of anyone who tested these on actual people. I know it cured a mouse who had a damaged lower spine...the mouse couldn't walk and then within a couple of days it could walk again. The stem cells created new pathways so that information could be sent to the legs. They say it can cure many diseases, like diabetes and possibly cancer.

I'm wondering if you're being serious, or if you're just a nut like others have been saying here. It seems to me that you're smart enough to be sane. I won't ask for any proof from you I suppose, but I'd like to read more of what you write. Try to avoid the criticism here, for some reason it's been commonplace ever since I joined a couple of years ago. If you get caught up in that you'll just be wasting your time. Instead, I encourage you to post more of your ideas and try to answer people's questions as truthfully as you can.

And welcome to the boards.

Nut job

Scott, when someone says something like:

Do you think it is unreasonable to assume that they are a nut?

I'm not asking for proof, just any reason to think otherwise, which I haven't seen. He sounds a bit like Francis E. Dec to me.

It's most reasonable to assume he's a nut, but I don't like to close my mind to the possibility that he's not.
