According to Vaishnava doctrine, Krishna has no need to be worshipped. Worship is defined, in the ultimate sense, as 'engagement in service of the Supreme Lord', and this state is our 'natural condition' which, again according to the doctrines, we have 'fallen' from. According to Vaishnava philosophy, we get into all kinds of trouble (the whole 'material entanglement') because we are not engaged in Krishna's service. We want the freedom to pursue our own pleasures and desires, and we have the freedom to do this. According to doctrine, service to Krishna is the remedy for all our troubles: old-age, disease and death, the eternal cycle of death and rebirth, etc.

Prabhupad was the classic religionist, the classic religious prude, and the classic religious obscurantist. He is a study in the whole problem. He essentially allowed himself to be worshipped, but this is a very common theme in Hindu religions. The nature of 'worship' is as simple as the most common 'namaste', which is a salute to the divine spark in a person, a place, and animal or a thing. Rabindranath Tagore wrote an amusing story about a country women who decided that he, Tagore, was a representative of her 'God', and she would come to his house to chat with him in this 'mood' (of worship). But there was no mistake in this, insofar as she knew that he was not really God, just an image of him, and he knoew that she was not worshipping him in se.

When these cults came to the US and the West, for various reasons, the young followers were very eager to humble themselves, to really perform the worship correctly, so they took it all extremely literally. There was so much ardor involved in this that, I think, Prabhpad and others like his were seduced by the power it gave them. They say that the greatest intoxicant for Westerners is sex and drugs, and maybe money, but for the Indians 'power' is at the top of their list. For Indians, who had been subjugated to the British in a most humiliating way, to all of the sudden see young white Westerners prostrating themselves before them was simply too much. It all went very much to their heads. The whole upper-echelon of Hare Krishna disciples who are now the gurus of this religion have largely fallen under the spell of this sort of worship. It is the most acute and most obvious example of the evil of idolatry, and a case-study in it.

Your wisdom in this matter is quite impressive to me and I'm not easily impressed.

I say: Loving God is more than sufficent. Worship is for the insane. I point towards the insane things worshippers are now doing in the world as evidence that I am indeed correct in my assessment.

I strongly feel that Constantine The Great knew that the stories of Mithra were allegorical and based on true accounts and he felt that Mithra and Jesus were in actuality the very same being, perhaps in a different incarnation. I feel Constantine would be shocked to find that thousands of years later people are blindly believing the stories about Jesus as infallible and inerrant fact.

They have recently upgraded the forums of which Sidarthur's Sanctum was given to me as a gift. Never before have I had the creative freedom in that forum that I do now. It has become a creative paradise for me and you can expect to see wondrous beauty and silly humor.

To be perfectly honest, these new revelations from Krishna are astounding to me. Never before has this knowledge been more direct, simple and powerful. If I am to judge the apparition by the quality of the knowledge imparted I have to say...wow!

I've created quite a number of posts here and you may have felt that you have a true idea of who I really am, but until you enter Sidarthur's Sanctum's Inspiration thread you don't really know me at all.

When you click on my profile and enter Sidarthur's Magical Sanctum, compared to this forum, you literally enter into...another world!

It's the acceptance of another person + an emotional connection. Short and sweet.

I don't understand what this is supposed to mean.

You people obvioulsy don't have a clue how much effort has gone into my not insulting you. Thanks to the new revelations of Krishna, I've made quite a bit of progress recently and I congratulate myself. Waiting for or even needing YOUR congratulations is a complete waste of my time and energies. Your 'revelations' have not done much of anything for me. The sum of what you know expressed is inferior to what Krishna has recently revealed to me directly. How is that possible? It's not possible! It's completely impossible, but I am being led to believe that everything we experience is completely impossible equally. If you believe what you call reality is indeed possible it is only because you have fallen for the grand illusion hook, line and sinker.

I have to openly admit that The Genius Forum contains some of the most intelligent posters I have ever encountered in message board forums. About a week and a half ago I was banned from Jon Stewart’s Daily Show forum with no warning whatsoever. As I reflect upon the banning I must admit they did me a favor. The overall level of the people posting there was far below the overall level of the intelligence of the people posting in this forum. When a forum is filled with monkey stupid people all I eventually tend to do is insult them and that doesn’t help either of us. Yes, The Genius Forum may not be perfect, but it’s the most perfect forum I’ve found so far and that has to be worth something.

"Krishna has asked me to dust off my excellent set of Deluxe Calcutta tabla drums and to practice towards offerings of devotional chanting of His Divine Names. Krishna says it’s...*"

"The atheist/agnostic science brainwashed would say that this is all delusion. There is no possible way Krishna could be appearing to me and giving me wise instructions on how to live. It’s all just in my mind…and Krishna agrees: what I call reality is in actuality all happening in my mind."

You're lying. I gave you the meaning of the general definition for true friendship. What don't you like about it? I wrote that you're lying because I find it hard to believe that you're unable to relate to it.
Waiting for or even needing YOUR congratulations is a complete waste of my time and energies.
Of course. If you're working under deluded pretenses then I choose not to play a role in strengthening those delusions.
Your 'revelations' have not done much of anything for me.
I don't have such expectantions.

So, according to the Universal Law of Attraction, more and more of what is 'wrong' will continue to manifest in his miserable life. There is no escaping the Universal Law of Attraction.
But Renny - isn't pointing out where people are "wrong" exactly what you do all the time? If you look back on your posts, you will see that initially I disagreed with you. You immediately began calling me names and trying to insult me simply because I did not (((agree))) with you.

It should be obvious by now that I cannot take you seriously for this very reason. You espouse one set of values then within seconds display their exact opposite.

You are a hypocrite and an intellectual lightweight. Hey, anyone who takes Icke seriously deserves a brand -new, tight-fitting white suit and a room with soft walls to match.
I'm about to take a new and more wonderful direction
