OK, so you only believe things that you've seen with your own eyes, right?

Let me test you with a couple of scenarios.

Firstly take the same kidnapping scenario, but now imagine that you have been best friends with the babysitter since birth - your mothers gave birth around the same time and met each other in hospital. Imagine that you know this man (by the way, I don't believe that I wrote anything to indicate that your best friend was a man, but I was conceiving of the male gender, so I'm happy to go along with that) deeply and have consistently found him to be an honest person of high integrity. You and he have sworn blood oaths to one another to tell the truth no matter what, and to the best of your knowledge, he has never even slightly broken this oath, to the extent that he has gone to jail for a significant period of time for telling the truth about an incident involving the two of you, when he was under extreme pressure from his lawyer to sell you out (where in selling you out, you would have received only a light slap on the wrist, so he could easily have justified this) to avoid punishment. Would this change your willingness to believe (and to repeat to others) what he has told you regarding the explanation of your daughter's disappearance as a kidnapping?
Probably, because I have experienced first hand his honesty, integrity and good will. I have a lot of evidence to suggest he is honest, mentally stable, and reliable. Therefore, when he makes a claim, I can believe him because I have experienced the goodness of his character.
Secondly, take the notion that the Earth revolves around the sun, rather than the other way around. Do you believe this to be true?

I have experienced first hand the many amazing achievements of science, so when the mainstream scientific community claims to have devised methods for determining the behavior of the earth in relationship to the sun - I respect their view, and deem that it is likely the most accurate of views.

But why would an evil reptilian confess? These are the blood drinking ceremonies of the illuminati, remember.
What if there are various levels within the hypothetical evil reptilian illuminati organization, and someone on a lower rung so far as pedigree and position decides he doesn't dig the scene? What if he finds a bone to pick with a higher up, say within his own family, and wants to bring him down a notch. What if he has a girlfriend on the outside, and the family says you can't marry her, and he goes "fuck you, I'm outta here," and they have her killed, and he says "alright, you're going down." Only of course nobody's going down, but some stuff gets exposed when the disgruntled family member rats to a researcher of this hypothetical group. There are many possible scenarios, that is just one. The point is, why make assumptions when discussing the subject of "evil reptilians"? Why assume what they would or wouldn't do?
They may have had later misgivings about what they had done. They may have a revenge motive.
None of that makes sense because these ceremonies are for illuminati members who are reptilian.
Again, why make assumptions, such as if they are illuminati members then it doesn't make sense that one of them might confess? Wouldn't we need more info as to their true nature, logically speaking?
And if they are unwilling participants [snip]
But hold on. Why would the reptillian illuminati require human participants in their ceremonies?
There could be many reasons. Perhaps it is the emotion of fear that they feed on, and the blood of a terrified young blond virgin female human is the best source for that. Again, why imply that this doesn't make sense, logically speaking, without knowing the actual nature of the beings or group in question. By the same token does it make any sense that certain animals devour their young? But they do, who'd a thunk it?
the police, instead of publishing? Is blood-drinking a crime? Are the police open to investigating reports of such ceremonies? What if the hypothetical ceremony in question involves so-called pillars of the community?
If anyone spied from the outside, they would have taken pictures of these pillars of the community.
Again, not necessarily. They could have been listening instead of viewing. The participants may have altered their appearance via masks, cloaks, or shapeshifting, and their voices. And again, collusion from the power structures -- let's say the commissioner of police is a Masonic initiate, and more than a few have been or are -- well, then, how far would an investigation get? A web of deceit, a web of influence -- can spread far and wide. Who would believe a witness of such a bizarre ceremony? How are those treated who see UFOs? How are those treated in our society who experience ghosts? How are those treated who report that Henry Ford built tanks for the Nazis, and the fact that Prescott Bush, father of President George, helped fund Hitler?
Who cares what most people think? Is that really your litmus test?
If you care about spreading your view, you should make sure that your messenger is not prone to fantasy and delusion
Well, that's just not true. Most views are spread today through messengers and mediums rife with fantasy and delusion. It works well. Besides that it would be hard to find a messenger free of those poor qualities, it works well. It's just buyer beware all the time. If one is interested in truth, one must learn how to sift. Very few pure channels outside the Tao Te Ching.

(Icke used to only wear turquoise and publically made bold and very false predictions)
Because of something he did 18 years ago is no reason to disqualify him as a valid source of information now. It is up to the individual to winnow wheat from chaff, not to seek perfect bread made by others for him. The question with any material is always what is the ratio of wheat to chaff; it needs to be high, otherwise the work of threshing isn't worthwhile.
because such messengers are only listened to by similarly foolish minds.
This sounds like a wise aphorism, but in fact is simplistic generalization. As I said the pure stream is extremely rare, and lesser waters must be panned for gold as well.

Writings aside, life itself is like this. One must winnow from experiences and make choices based on what is potentially good and high and most valuable, gleaning truth and grace from the coarse and superfluous, if one is interested.

How about The Big Bang?

Do you believe that everything in the universe was once compressed to a point smaller than the head of a pin? I've seen PBS shows where famous scientists talk about The Big Bang as casually as they would talk about what they had for lunch.

If you believe in The Big Bang, do you believe this on faith in the evidence or not? Remember: EVIDENCE IS NOT PROOF!!!

(Christians really need to realize this. Just because someone writes that Jesus walked on water doesn't automatically mean Jesus actually walked on water)

I just think it's a shame that the discussion of David Icke has degenerated into a discussion about the reptilians when I have 3 or 4 of his books which never mention that stuff. His message is really about the machinations of the rich and powerful, how they manipulate world events and our own reactions.

By the way Rennie, I don't accept the Big Bang, but most of the people on this site are quite conventional on their views of most things.

Honestly, why would you take seriously the musings of a guy who thinks there are shape shifting reptilians running around the planet? Doesn't that cloud his every thought for you? It frankly should.

Indeed.A fruit-loop, plain and simple.

There's more than enough decent thinkers around to fill a lifetime of reading than to waste time with the David Icke's of the world.Besides, the illuminati were an insiginificant guild that died out centuries ago with barely a whimper.

That big money, and powerful people conspire from time to time,is hardly a revelation anyway. Most of them don't even bother being secretive about it. There's a 7 TRILLION bailout going on by mates for other mates. It's in all the papers :D

The stuff out in the open is scarier than any secretive caniving going on as far as I'm concerned.

I don't care or read about the reptilian musings. His books are heavily referenced and annotated. for anyone interested in the topic, and I am, his book on the world trade center bombing is quite comprehensive. He's also a very good writer.

As to the reptilians, it seems nonsensical to me, but not all aspects of the idea are nonsensical. There does seem to be a bloodline that tries to maintain itself in power, apparently successfully, that goes back, not only to Charlemagne, but probably at least to Constantine and indeed we don't know how far back.

And as you may know, Dan, I do think there is compelling evidence that our planet was visited by fairly high tech civilization via spaceships in the deep past, and that these people bequeathed to us civilization, which they ruled until such time as they passed it on to their human hybrid offspring, and this could be the source of the bloodlines. They tried to keep their bloodlines pure through incestuous marriages such as the one between Abraham and his half-sister Sara.

Of course, the fact that absolutely all early civilizations said this exact thing only proves that in the past people were, essentially, psychotic but now we are rational isn't it nice.

This guy Dan is such a narrow-minded, science-blind limited thinker. The quote is all he wants to see and he just ignores the rest. This video of David Icke on the Wogan show proves David to be a level-headed, intelligent and very wise fellow. What he shares deserves to be considered by the wise. Wogan interupts David to say that America is an open society. What a jerk Wogan was. Slowly, without people even realizing it, America is becoming a fascist police state where the police break whatever laws they like, in order to persecute, and just get away with it:

This guy's a riot. If I didn't force myself to stop laughing my heart would have surely stopped by now. He did his best to turn what I wrote into a joke so that he wouldn't have to directly address it.

I must admit, of all the people who post in this forum tomas is the only person who writes like he's on some sort of mind-numbing psyche drug. He tends to write like some sort of mentally ill person. This post is a classic example of his mentally ill writing style.

Yes, it is nice to know. If Sitchin had have bothered to learn anything at all about planetary physics he would not have developed such absurd ideas.

Yes indeed. Your bloated ego MUST arrange your life so that you look down on others with smug conceit. I used to be like you. Now I only celebrate being a better person than I used to be. I don't see myself as better than others. I may be different, but not intrinsically better. How can I be better when we are all made from the exact same substance.

You're hilarious, Sid. You spend half your time comparing yourself to others and declaring how much better you are and how inferior they are in so many ways, then you speak this shit? Is there any chance whatever you'll one day be able to actually see the nature of your behaviour, or does whatever ails you prevent that from happening?

I'm a comic genius, right? Right. Nice to know I keep you laughing.

Do show me with direct quotes in which I say I am intrinsically 'better' than others, O Mr Better Than I? If I truly spend half my time doing such things then you should be able to come up with direct quotes from half of everything I write. You wouldn't want to be shown up as a liar now, would you? Good luck finding those quotes in every other post I create, Mr Better Than I.

Er, show me where I said I'm intrinsically better! Got one rule for me and another for you? I said I'm better than loony. That's not a claim of intrinsic superiority in my universe. There's no such thing as intrinsic superiority so no-one can sensibly claim it.
