Why is truth?

Post by Anti-christ »

If God is the sum of everything: i feel no need to expand.

Too many people(individuals) find themselves, in life, in time, in space, but what is It really???

Is God playing a trick on us? Are we his laughter at the end of an earthly day? Does He care?

Usually, the world will tell you..." use your cell phone"
" Your mother raised you"
" You have a father"
" You have the final say for what happens in your life."

Say, we were to put a giant red balloon in the sky telling people that if they were to worship it, they would be like gods.
But, then, what if God were to come and pop that balloon...then what?
There is No part of this conversation that is true. EYE am merely playing a thought inside of your Block of thinking which has nothing to do with what is happening inside your head, but is the mere fact that you are giving attention to my train of thought___there, see now!

Hello A.C.,

You seem confused, and I take it, either you are young or English is not your first language.

Regarding your post, it is all over the place and I cannot find a point to respond to. But since you have taken the time to contribute here, I ask you, what do you think about the truth? What do you think about God? For starters, let us first define our terms for clear communication.

How do you define God? How do you define Truth? More personally, what do you hope to achieve by conversing with others here on the forum? I look forward to your response.

Bryan, I think he is asking what God is.

AC, many different people have many different beliefs. I believe that we are all like cells of the same Body, and that Body is God.

So by that train of thought, and by definition of god; one controlling a particular aspect or part of reality, you would say everything is it's own God?

Not in entirety, but everything is a part of the whole God. Eastern and American Indian cultures, for example, recognize the divine aspect of each individual. Cultures influenced by Christianity traditionally have villianized positive thoughts about the self, and modern culture is only now grappling with the appropriate amount of self-importance (too much is narcissistic and not enough is destructive).

I love the unconcious and brazen elitism of
identity manipulation. It makes me laugh.

Christian cultures villianize positive self thoughts? Are you taking those "esteem based" education classes again?

Read every word mil. Did you overlook the word "traditionally" when you read that? Did you never spend any substantial amount of time around nuns or other people of the traditional paths of Christianity?

Yes, actually. Kindergarten, much of 1st, all of 2nd, half of 4th, and all of 5th grades. Unworthiness of the individual is emphasized. Ascetic practices are very traditional.

are there any scriptural citations they use to support this ? Maybe nuns are just bitches.

I do not recall any scriptural citations, but that could just be my lack of recollection. Much of traditional religion is based on things that people threw in along the way and tried to make it point to the scriptures anyway, like the Catholic tradition of not eating meat on Fridays in rememberance that Jesus died on the cross on a Friday. That came about because the fishermen were having a hard time selling their fish so they went to the pope about it, and the pope made a declaration.

Religion gets funky especially over a period of time. Rational thought and logic do not digress from the truth, which makes it an interesting point that I found in Catholic, Episcopalian, Methodist, and Baptist churches that they tend to require accepting the Word of God without question (as spoon-fed by priests who may or may not have the correct spin on things). The more a religion requires its members to accept things "on blind faith" the bigger the red flag.

But there is logic behind basic morality. There is a logic between teaching children to not sit around and jackoff all day.

The NEW spirituality is also a lot of made up crap people put together to suit their needs as well.

As an aside. Not too long ago, waiting till marriage meant waiting till you were 16. Our world is out of sync with itself.

Wherever there is logical conclusion, any questions about it can be answered logically. When there is not logic, the best that the clergy can say is "you must accept" without giving a valid reason. Therefore a good test of if something is logical is to see whether or not it stands up to rational questioning.

True basic morality is logical and rational, as logical reasons can be given for why something is so.

That is why logic never changes but specific results of logical thinking do. That is why questioning is rational. What may be wrong or right in one situation may be the opposite in another situation.

But yet there are still timeless values which bond individuals into a cohesive survival unit. Trust, honesty, hardwork (instead of victimizing each other.) etc.

Traditional religion despite it's occasional anachronism is centered around this survival orientation.

The NEW religion is organized around nihilism. You want to survive? What about the earth mother? You're selfish.

You seem to be referencing a specific new religion that I am not aware of. Does this religion have a name?

I said the book is better - that site was just what I found online as a general idea.

Indigo is not a religion.

Right. So I have a few skeletons in my closet.
Bitter is sweet, thank goodness!!!

Now, how about this for your fancy pancies, can you count how many colors you can visualize each day out? Can you ever in your daily lives just for a moment forget about time? Is there truth spoken in this class room full of masters or is it all just a bunch of lunacy???
