Authority or Non-Conformist
Authority dictates who where when how and why and a smug sense of superiority flashes from their foreheads like a neon-sign, and they are either loved or hated.
Unfavorable attitudes can be found in the highest ranking. And many favorable can be found in the lowest ranking.
Many authority figures earn their way up the letter of recognition for the blind lead the blind, and result in poor ministerial management and mistakes are made at the people's expense
Non-conformists venture their own way through life, many opposing authority figures, movements, government, laws, politics etc. while others move on to greater endeavors such as philosophy and the great books of our forefathers, away from the noises of life.
Many non-conformists are simply saying no to structured unreliable lying pompous ass ministerial and political dictation. Intelligence leads the non-conformist in that he dare to be different, to break away from the peanutry of incompetency.
The non-conformist is not necessarily with combative attitude, as it is with intelligence to oppose, due to superiority of thought.

Re: Authority or Non-Conformist
Anyone who thinks of themselves as a "non-conformist" is conforming to a pre-conceived image and is therefore a fraud.

Re: Authority or Non-Conformist
I'm not a non-conformist, but I'm not entirely a follower either. I have independence of mind so I tend to be more non-conformist than conformist.
To believe in anything doesn't make one a fraud, that's silly to even mention it.

Re: Authority or Non-Conformist
To believe in anything is dumb.
One should either know, suspect, or admit ignorance. One should never "believe," as that's where boatloads of trouble start.

Mensa says: Ok, I can go along with part of that, but what about believing in something but not knowing, like consciousness is up our asses, but we don't know for sure, we may suspect it or admit ignorance but we can never believe that consciousness is up our asses. Guess what, it begins with belief!Unidian wrote:To believe in anything is dumb.
