-Do you really believe the average woman gravitates towards bad behaviour and decision-making more than the average male? If you do, Can you argue this logic?
Do you still find this to be a valid question in light of the above passage? If so, what are your reasons?
I just don't like Weininger calling women aiming for sincere emancipation sexually intermediate forms or always possessive of some male anatomy.
Leyla Shen
Your
reason is because you don’t
like it??? Did that stop your mother giving you things you didn’t like when there was a good
reason to do so? Is it because you are a woman, a man or an intermediate form? How do you think an intermediate form might consider his thinking? Do you even think they exist?
It’s pretty pathetic, really. The man CLEARLY DETAILS the parameters of his thinking and rather than addressing those parameters, you simply state, “I don’t like it.” You heard of Pauline Hanson, by any chance?

You're playing word games here. I've put forth reasons why I DISAGREE with his thought-go to my previous posts.
He erred again on this part-very 19th century black and white thinking.
Leyla Shen
Ah, yes—rather than approaching the question with
actual reason, we borrow the valence of a dominant personality in the hope that we might just pull off the deception. I have noticed a few people here suddenly using the term “dude,” as well when they allude to some superior knowledge over their counterpart. You know, it begins with, “Dude…” Wanna talk unconscious?
1otherS
What valence am I borrowing? I'm not claiming any superiority.
Weininger called the lowest of the male still higher than the highest of the female.
According to this logic, a male rapist and murderer ranks better on the morality-scale than a female Nobel Prize winner.
My question is: does this look like good sense to you? Isn't this absolute black and white-thinking?
Go out in the real world,
Leyla Shen
I’m already there, buddy—hairy arms, and all.
1otherS
Why do you have hairy arms?
….there's plenty of feminine women pursueing philosophic and intellectual goals even when it's completely unfashionable to do so.
e.g.
-Women with Muslim-upbringing deciding to become atheïst.
-Pretty women picking up a microscope instead of marrying the fattest wallet.
-Female entrepreneurship in general.
Leyla Shen
Oh, you mean like in the boutique law firm I currently work for; or maybe in the hierarchical organization, in which the casual blue-collar job I recently took on to keep my finger on the labour pulse exists? Perhaps you mean the several larger corporations that I’ve worked for in the past complete with their ostentatiously furnished boardrooms and equally ostentatious Boards of Directors; or, perhaps you mean the several cutting edge sales and/or consulting firms? Public Relations, maybe?
Do you think I’m unpretty because I have hairy arms, 1otherS?
1otherS
Admittedly these stereotypes do exist, but they aren't the whole side of the spectrum. There are plenty of women taking a genuine interest in hard sciences...
I'm a heterosexual male: I'm attracted to feminine looking women, not unconscious-minded females.
PS: I've read Sex And Character in full and I've drawn my own conclusions. Can you claim the same?-That's what I want to know...
Leyla Shen
Of course, you cannot tell. So, I'll tell you: the answer is, emphatically, yes. It is the reason I can, in fact, accurately judge your—“thinking” so far as you have been prepared to reveal it to us. One such reason is the clear distinction I can make in regard to
political emancipation and the kind of emancipation Weininger is talking about. You know, the distinction that frightens you to intellectual death…
There's absolutely NOTHING superior in your position, except in terms of its evasiveness.

I'm not claiming any superiority, I just have interpreted Sex And Character differently than the status quo on this board. You really shouldn't call me unthinking just because of this fact.
I wouldn't call myself intellectually frightened by Weininger either, I just think he tragically wasted his linguïstic talent. He should have put his claims through rigorous testing. If he had done this, he might've changed his thoughts on women...
