I have decided to reply by way of a dedicated new thread, which I will call something like "Palestine: from the fall of the Ottomans to Today." (I take the opportunity to note here that pertinent point that the term "Palestine" has itself exactly the same "historical" roots as the term Israel—the Holy flippen Babble. They are the "Philistines" and the "Israelites.")

The new thread will be a referenced opening post containing excerpts for discussion as desired. I will add to it until it is entirely up-to-date.

Alright, it ain't much but I got a Jewish-Turkish joke.

A typical over-protective Jewish mother is helping her son get ready to fight the Turks, having been forcibly enlisted in the Tzar's Army. 'Kill a Turk, take some rest, kill another one, and take some rest---But son, don't over-exert yourself!'

'But Ma, what if the Turks should kill me?'

'Kill you, whatever for? What have you done to them?'

Prominent Kenyan Physician: "This Administration of Obama, is Going to be a Nightmare for Our People"

-snips-

"We in Kenya know him (Obama) as a person who is anti-family," Dr. Karanja said. "A person who would support abortion. In America they can do all right killing their babies. But they must not associate us with the people who would want our babies to be killed."

"Now we are in big trouble because of these Americans," Dr. Karanja said.

"The truth is they have put a bad man in the most powerful office in the whole world. And they are putting people outside your borders in danger." (see photo)

Diebert writes:

"Only as pure religion, bro. [Reject 'Jewishness'] Only when applied universally to human beings, no matter which ethnics or gender. In that way I understand, live and breath Judaism, Christianity and a whole lot of other opiates."

I sympathize with your plight, sincerely. But it seems to me it is not something (the whole complex structure of being, belief, existence) that one can ever divorce oneself from, I mean in the sense of cut it away from oneself. As you seem to realize, it is part of the very structure of our own selves, and your self. Mentally, in a sort of abstract way, one dreams of returning to a blank slate, an Idyllic World where no one ever had to think about all this heavy stuff, but no matter what they do, there is no way to artificially or contrivedly sever oneself from what surely is or has become a part of our own 'souls'. Now it seems, the only way out of the madness of it (and there is a mad part, no doubt) is to go through it. One has to go through it and in the process define or redefine what, then, one is really dealing with, what one is really talking about.

You of all people should recognize that 'our religion'---and I have no doubt that you have a religion, that you practice the religion of which you are a living product---is infinitely expanded from any religious conception that existed in another time frame. As a matter of fact it incorporates even people like David and Kevin, who are post-modern Christians with Romantic links to Chinese and Japanese mists and a 'Buddha' of old. It permeates everything and sometimes it seems there is no place that it is not. It has a mission, and a mission independent of its human agents (it seems).

"Perhaps indeed, in your case, I start to see clearly how it works its way in your reading and writing. But in general the only psychosis happens when "all things from Judaism" are applied to a specific historical group or person. Nonsense of the highest order! And many esteemed Jews agree with me here!"

What are you talking about? I don't understand what you've written. I still get the sense you are operating essentially from a Nietzschean framework---that Nietzsche best encapsulates your view. What is 'nonsense of the highest order'? Who are the esteemed Jews who agree with you? What are you talking about?

"I could call this remark about "fitting" seriously antisemitic and even eugenic. It should be clear things do not fit at all and should be seriously reconsidered by all the thinkers living in Israel. Israel doesn't need to be in its current position and any claims this is God's way or some Jewish fate is self-defeating from the start. It's the same type of apocalyptic end-of-times thinking that haunts radical Christianity; self-fulfilling prophecies."

Who knows what you 'read'. What I meant is that it is 'fitting' insofar as it is an extension of 'Jewish destiny', as a people 'chosen' or 'engineered' or 'fated' for a peculiar mission in respect to Western culture, and the fate of the world, to find themselves, to have gravitated to, or to have had thrust upon them, the task of dealing with a confrontation between whole currents of history, whole segments of time, radically different 'epistemes' of interpreting reality, etc. It is 'fitting', therefor, that Jews are in the center of such a storm, that has such wide implications.

If Israel and 'Palestine' were irrelevant backwaters, no one of course would care in the slightest. That the issue is so much at the forefront is indicative of many different things, things that could be discussed.

'...which it isn't as people like Buber, Tony Judt, Dan Gavron, historian Ilan Papp and even Uri Avnery know the same or more about Jewish history and religion than these authors. This is why articles like this one show a sincere worrying about the direction the 'Left' might take."

'These authors' are of course associated with the State of Israel, so that by the way. There are all sorts of ideas floating around out there, yet I am sure that even some of your 'esteemed Jews' have certain bottom lines that are not negotiable. You'd have to produce an 'esteemed Jew' to specifically answer a specific question or issue. There are many, many Jews deeply concerned from events in Israel, and quite possible far more interested in a real solution than you will ever be. What is your interest here, Deibert. It is not at all clear, and you are something less than transparent. You are a denizen of a list with a certain pathology-of-view and some obvious distortions, so what is the precise product you are selling? Why? Just endless question, Deibert!

You intellectual notions are none-too-clear, and I have been reading you for well over a year now.

"There's always something that has to go, has to give, to make room for the new. It's like this with everything."

In Jewish history, in so many instances, this 'something that has to give, etc.' has often been the herald for disasters for Jews, and if you understand this fact, you will perhaps understand that Jews view 'your' notions of 'what has to give' a little suspiciously, and might not---I say might not---be open to such 'giving' before the issue is deeply considered. I of course don't even know you, but a certain percentage of what you have written is vague enough to arouse suspicion on my part, but I do not at all mean to imply that I don't enjoy talking with you about it, and I am not dis-invalidating your view.

Take it as a 'request for more information'. ;-)

No Alex, there are no 'Jews' viewing my notions like this or that. I was just relaying notions of Jews about themselves and the Jewish state. So I've nothing to answer for, no matter how hard you try to find hole to peg me in, antisemitic, Nietzschean, uninformed, whatever.

Suspicion is understandable though and I wouldn't expect anything less. One can only hope this suspicion extents itself toward the origins of Zionism, all kinds of fundamentalism, Christian evangelicals, origin of the Torah and the origin of their own myths and stories that all combined might create a prison out of their traditional identity.

And this, and so much more, is exactly what 'they' are doing. It is being lived out, in 3-D, in technicolor! with a live cast. This is the physical embodiment of the Grand Question.

What do you want everyone to do? Throw down their scripts and go home?

There is such a thing as anti-Semitism, Diebert. It is real, it is there, and it is active. Here's a little psychological mind-game for you, sure to keep you on your toes: Try to unravel what is genuine criticism of Israel and Judaism from the other variety. Get into the middle of that game with someone who is, in fact, an anti-Semite, even if they won't admit it, and see what you think about it.

Report back to me...

Alex, if what you and Diebert are discussing is the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state, then I think it is pretty clear that if you do not support Israel politically, you are to that degree an anti-semite. It's interesting how for thousands of years, non-Jews "encourage" Jews to move elsewhere, yet when there is an historical opportunity for Jews to have a homeland, some people don't think that taking a stand against it is anti-semitic.

As neither a Jew nor an Palestinian, I feel I'm objective about Eretz Yisrael. To me, it is completely understandable that coming on the heels of the Holocaust, the Jews as a people are determined to have a state in which it does not become national policy to persecute Jews. The Jews as a people are struggling to survive.

Interesting that people are still speaking in terms of a "solution," meaning of course that Israel's very existence is somehow still a problem that has to be "solved."

It is astounding to me that anyone who studies history, and that has no personal stake in the issue, would take a stance against the Jews having a homeland. It is not sufficient for the Jews to be allowed to live in the area now called Israel; there has to be a Zionist element as well to ensure that this area not become a different state, one which could potentially persecute Jews. Given world history, this is not a trivial point.

When the world seemed endless, the Jews could survive persecution by fleeing their oppressors. This gave birth to the Diaspora. Eretz Yisrael is the modern result of Jews being expelled from other countries as a people with nowhere left to go. It represents the Jewish people's last stand. If collectively the Jews have a bunker mentality it should come as no surprise.

Jews have a bunker mentality because their dopey religion demands it.

Jews have not been historically persecuted more than any other group - it's just that their dopey religion demands persecution and specialness so it is emphasised (much like certain Xian types who love to think of themselves as needing to be persecuted so as to be authentically expressing their beliefs).

Israel is a problem requiring a solution, unless you think its ok to not give a flying shit about the Palestinians (they are not a separate problem).

I'm thinking of banning the term "antisemitic" (and all variations thereof) from these discussions on the basis of the stupid arrogance of it. Jews deserve to be viewed poorly purely on the basis of their appropriation of the term.

I don't give a crap that Israel exists, but can we resolve the issues its creation manifested?

Just as long as you don't ban the name Weisenheimer Ezekiel ben Abraham Katzenellenbogen, though I agree it is rather long and unweildy. Yet, while you are on the banning war-path (a common theme with you, I've noticed), might I make just one (humble) suggestion?

I have always had an issue with the word 'lambchop' and yet for the life of me I can't get to the bottom of why. Why should a goddamed lambchop twist me out of shape, so that I sit there muttering to myself on my perch, pacing back and forth with a mad glint in my eye, ready to attack anything or anyone that is foolish enough to come within 10 feet of me?

Allright, just read this joke I just invented for you Dan, and your righteous indignation will pass, I promise!

A client walked into the law firm of Katzenellenbogen, Katzenellenbogen, Katzenellenbogen & Katzenellenbogen.
He said to a clerk behind the counter "I would like to speak to Mr. Katzenellenbogen."
"I'm sorry, but the founder of the firm is deceased."
"OK, let me speak to Mr. Katzenellenbogen"
"Mr. Katzenellenbogen isn't taking new clients."
"OK, let me speak to Mr. Katzenellenbogen."
"Mr. Katzenellenbogen is in court today."
"Nu, so let me speak to Mr. Katzenellenbogen already!"
"Speaking! How can I help you?"

Get it? Do you get it?

Well, some of my fans have PM'd me saying, We like the Jewish jokes but do you know any Gentile jokes? I thought a great deal and yes, there is one I know! It goes like this:

A Gentile goes into a clothing store and says: "This is a very fine jacket! How much is it?" The salesman says: "It's $500."
The Gentile says, "OK, I'll take it!"

Notwithstanding the sheer intellectual feat of classifying "their" religion as "dopey," you still must be aware that the Jews have been persecuted more than "any other group."

And that you are "thinking of banning" any term is significant.

Yes, it's true that the Jews think they are better than we are. So what? Who gives a shit about that? And yes I agree it is stupid to fight over religion - but people are stupid in general, and people are the building blocks of history, right? The law of cause and effect works just as surely throughout human history as it does everywhere else. If the Jews are belligerent, they were caused to be so. They are not claiming a chunk of New South Wales, are they? You would think a self-proclaimed "enlightened" man would be a it bit more dispassionate about the Middle East.

It's hardly an intellectual feat. All religion is dopey. I deny the assertion that the Jews have been persecuted more than any other group. Indeed, I deny it emphatically because it's bullshit.
And that you are "thinking of banning" any term is significant.
Then I'll ban people who engage in it as trolls. It's too cretinous to tolerate, Broke. It's used in the absence of argument. I simply won't stand for it.
Yes, it's true that the Jews think they are better than we are. So what? Who gives a shit about that?
I do to the extent that it means they will willfully propagandize and re-write history and influence others to do so as well. That matters. It matters as much as when Aryan idiots did/do it.
And yes I agree it is stupid to fight over religion - but people are stupid in general, and people are the building blocks of history, right?
That's all true, but there's no reason that we ought to tolerate it.

This is just bullcrap politics we're talking about here. When Israel was created Jews were granted special rights and dispensations, over and above others of the region - for no good reason whatever. Oh, other than God promised them something - there's a thing to take seriously.

The poorly conceived and executed creation of Israel has created serious problems that need to be addressed. Arguing whether it should have happened at all is kind of redundant now. We have to get past that particular debate and work for a regional solution to the problems. Part of that solution will be ceasing to fall for Zionist bullshit.

I'm gonna claim the island of Manhattan. My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather had a large farm there once, with 200 heads of cattle. He was persecuted and driven out. Now, the least them gringos can do to amend the wrong suffered is give me the land I am entitled to by birthright.

How about the Swedes? They are a group. Have they been persecuted more than the Jews? Or the Boy Scouts?

It really comes down to what we want to call a group. Clearly you cannot logically say the Jews "have not been persecuted more than any other group." It boils down to religion, doesn't it? The Jews constitute a "group" because of their religion. They get singled out because they set themselves apart. I get that.
I do to the extent that it means they will willfully propagandize and re-write history and influence others to do so as well.
Whoa there, Dan. Every "group" propagandizes as much as it can, doesn't it? And as far as I know, all propaganda is willful.

But what's with the "re-write" history accusation? I get fed up with the Schindler's List mentality of the media, too. You don't like encountering the Jewish-controlled media's slant on world affairs? I don't either, but take it for what it is - a viewpoint. They have their own viewpoint. Who else's viewpoint should they have? It's not as if they are hiding their viewpoint. Pushy, no?

A lot of "groups" took a hit in the Twentieth Century. The Jews were far from the least among them. They are not re-writing that part one bit, but why should you blame them for writing about it in the first place? They are closer to the microphone, so they get heard the loudest, so to speak.

Personally, I just try to understand why things are the way they are. How they got this way. Facts are facts. Beat a dog enough times and sooner or later it will bite back.

They weren't persecuted till they gave us ABBA, then their persecution became justified, much like that of Jews, who gave us Woody Allen.
They are a group. Have they been persecuted more than the Jews? Or the Boy Scouts?
Jews have suffered persecution, but I reject the idea they have suffered it more than others.
It really comes down to what we want to call a group. Clearly you cannot logically say the Jews "have not been persecuted more than any other group." It boils down to religion, doesn't it? The Jews constitute a "group" because of their religion. They get singled out because they set themselves apart. I get that.
That results in a lot of things. Surely you must know that the Gypsies are the most persecuted social group in history. If you don't believe me, just ask them - they'll tell you! And what joy they'll bring to the telling!
I do to the extent that it means they will willfully propagandize and re-write history and influence others to do so as well.
Whoa there, Dan. Every "group" propagandizes as much as it can, doesn't it? And as far as I know, all propaganda is willful.
I agree with that, but we fall for this propaganda and pay billions to support it, whilst justice for others goes wanting.
But what's with the "re-write" history accusation? I get fed up with the Schindler's List mentality of the media, too. The world falls for their viewpoint. If it didn't, I wouldn't care. But "re-write" was not the best choice of words. I should have just said the way they write history.
A lot of "groups" took a hit in the Twentieth Century. The Jews were far from the least among them. They are not re-writing that part one bit, but why should you blame them for writing about it in the first place? They are closer to the microphone, so they get heard the loudest, so to speak.
It's their entire history they propagandize. I don't even take the WW11 events into account in my judgements.
Personally, I just try to understand why things are the way they are. How they got this way. Facts are facts. Beat a dog enough times and sooner or later it will bite back.
Unfortunately, "facts" are seldom facts. Basically, I don't buy the "Jews" as victims routine anymore than I buy the women as victims routine.

Dan, do you drool when you talk? Some of the shit you say is really, really stooopid. And while I am on the subject, jerk, you can ban me at any time, I will only laugh at you, you pathetic moronic loser! In your 'argumentation' you say that the persecution of Jews arises from their 'dopey religion', failing to grasp that the persecution of greatest relevance came from Christians in the Western countries. I don't think there is any other instance in any other history where a people---'the Jews'---was represented in sacred texts in such a way that, following the story-line, they are linked to a satanic force, and are of course hated and rejected---and made to suffer---for that reason. The Roman dislike of Jews had limits, and arose more from the Jewish refusal to be ruled. But I don't think it approached the later, European variety called anti-Semitism. I don't think, at least I have never heard it expressed that way, that Jews suppose they have been 'more persecuted' than others, what makes the difference is the nature of the persecution, the reasons for the persecution, and that the persecution arose in strange circumstances. If you had even a minimal sort of basic familiarity with the history, and with all the different ramifications of that history, you could not even formulate some of these idiotic statements you have just made.

You are an embarrassment to a true community of genius. I therefor insist that you wear the GF Dunce Hat for a week! It is for your own good.

I do appreciate what you wrote above, Broke, in your first recent post, but with the rest (I suggest this as a possibility) you have engaged with someone who embodies, almost precisely, a skewed grasp of 'real history', and is a perfect ground for pure animus and something approaching hatred. Just try to get to the bottom of that. The reason it is often referred to as 'the new anti-Semitism' is because it just keeps morphing and shifting, and yet it seems to arise with every generation.

Sometimes I think that they would cruelly abuse even a poor, defenseless macaw, like myself, sitting quietly and meekly on his perch, looking all innocent and lovable! Is this---I ask you!---is this a face you can hate?

Well---*sniffle*---I guess it's my time to...face the firing squad! Once a pathetic asshole, always a pathetic asshole! And not an ass to kiss to reverse the edict! Oh well, don't cry for me Australia! In my tray this morning I found fresh mango, a 'finger' banana from the Panamanian highlands, and some pre shelled walnuts, and now---yes, I hear them outside---a slow rolling of battle drums! A lonesome military horn cries a melancholy note as the sun comes up. An ashen-faced chaplain sat with me for awhile, seemed to suggest repentance and yet, could it be true? seemed to show a sort of hidden solidarity with my plight. Just a brilliant, talkative Macaw, but soon all the beauty...all the genius...will be extinguished...and the bullet-riddled feathered body shall be lain in the ground in an unmarked grave. Who will cry for me? Who shall write my epitaph? 'He was a frenetic, Jewish Macaw who came to instruct us...' 'He offered to take us home to Zion...yet we refused!' 'He was shot at dawn by a group of Australian church-burners who understood not what they did!'

Well, this macaw bows down to no one! I hear approaching steps, and backlit against the dawn light I see...the executioner coming for me. A chill passes over me. No more will I flutter about in the trees of elevated thought! No more shall I nibble on the fruits of genius and crap on the heads of dip-shits! Yet I feel no anger toward my...murderers...not to Diebert, or Faust, or Dan, or Dave, or Kevin, nor Shahazard, nor Leyla, nor to any losers still living in their parent's basement!

Ye who silence me forever, I bless thee as only a Macaw can! Fare-thee-well! Fare-thee-well!

Re: Barack Obama, next president of the U.S.?

Post by Diebert van Rhijn »

As Avraham Burg, former speaker of the Israeli parliament, wrote in the LA times this week
Few people in Israel are willing to try to perceive reality through a different set of conceptual lenses other than those of extermination and defensive isolation. Few are willing to try on the glasses of understanding and of hope for dialogue. Instead, the question is always: Is a second Shoah on the way?
Or for Alex it would be more like a second bane of Cain coming his way.

Ban won't wear off as the day wears on

[Why do I have this feeling that my days are numbered?]

-Shah-
Because they are, you pathetic asshole.

-tomas-
Now kids, calm down! Leyla has provided an avenue (by-way) to begin this from Day One. Granted, brokenhead is too stupid to refrain from opening his mouth and then coming back and whimpering to Dan (the man) that he is ignorant (note: rant) in many of these few threads that escapes his pea-brain of a parakeet brain .. this coming from someone who repeatedly brags about teaching graduate students (shades of Mikiel's 174-178 IQ) the facts of life.

Alex: Hint .. beware of the female-women trolls/female imps (demons), it is THEY to tiptoe around, as THEY carry the gravitas to have men banished. Women have a way (their peculiar high-pitched shriek) that leaves an imprint in the masculine (real-male) mind. This goes back to the cave man days, when the Head Alpha Male had harems to guard. Donna Thompson personally-attacked Dan, and he had no choice in the matter but to evict her..

-Alex writes earlier-
You are an embarrassment to a true community of genius.

-tomas interjects-
Back off, Alex. Dan is A-OK. (an aussie - okie from muskogee)

-Alex continues-
I therefor insist that you wear the GF Dunce Hat for a week.

-tomas-
Perhaps you could fashion one for Worldly Matters (WM) - the GF Dunce Hat is an ongoing tussle between Jehu and Anna.

-Alex-
It is for your own good.

-tomas-
Oooh, them is fightin' words!

-Alex to stupid/brokie-
but with the rest you have engaged with someone who embodies, almost precisely,... (blah, bla) ...and something approaching hatred.

-tomas-
Here I agree with you. Brokie represents the mainstream attitude that jews are a collective force of one-religion-think, not understanding that there are three main sections (dialects) of jew religious thought. (my sister is married to a former jew, of slavic origin, who left the religion behind at age-17. His father understood .. he passed away some 10 years ago, but his mother has never forgiven him and has written him out of the will to the tune of several million$ of dollar$). He's an MD, so he is scraping by :-)

Suppose his biggest grudge (hatred) is when he pulls out his circumcised pecker (the serpent), a reminder of his parents' preprogrammed-devotion to a "religion" of their parents :-/

-Dan-
ABBA

-tomas-
John McCain's favorite band, no wonder he lost.

-Dan-
Woody Allen

-tomas-
Never cared for a single flick of his (first 3-4 then paid no mind).

-Shah-
The island of Manhattan

-tomas-
Did your 17-time-great-gramps pay the Natives who were here before him pay/rent for the land? (PS - visit some west-of-the-mississippi Indian Reservation .. if you wanna see some continuing persecution) The nastiest are in Montana, the Dakotas, Nebraska, Arizona.

-stupid brokie-
Yes, it's true that the Jews think they are better than we are.

-tomas-
No wonder Dan wants to ban people (based on the above intellectually-spewed desert-speech).

-Dan-
Jews have a bunker mentality because their dopey religion demands it.

-tomas-
Well Dan, when one is literally born into a religious environment .. at what age does one peer out of the bunker, then surmise whether it is safe to make a run for it? How much thought (how long) is one to wander in the desert before one imagines an oasis before their eyes .. or an actual oasis with potable water and shade trees?

Is this bunker (oasis) safe from banishment? Or, is the human condition, so deteriorated that one wanders evermore for another forty years?

-Diebert-
Suspicion is understandable though and I wouldn't expect anything less.

-tomas-
Yes, the Aborigine (your australian version of jew) is being exterminated. And/or "gentiled" half-bred into extermination.

-Diebert continues-
Nonsense of the highest order!

-tomas-
Calm down..

-Diebert pontificates-
And many esteemed Jews agree with me here!

-tomas-
Male, female? And, which particular sect?

-more Diebert rants-
The only comparable situation this age was Saddam Hussein sending in Arabs in the Kurdish regions

-tomas-
Hey, the behind-the-curtain power players pulling "our leaders" strings have to go about this in a measured way .. but it's "okay" that (the Crown) aka Winston Churchill used mustard gas in the 1920s on these same peoples? He knew full well about the crude oil under the Kurd's land and the-then recent Balfour Declaration. (british israelites)

-Diebert drones on-
and various displacements facilitated by Hitler

-tomas-
Yup, another Rothschild bastard-grandson let loose (as a courier, he was "captured" twice during WW1 by the Brits) as a puppet from day one. Another false-messiah programmed by the Tavistock Institute.

-Diebert-
and Stalin

-tomas-
The happy Georgian! (Uncle Joe!)

-Diebert rides the ferris in Disneyland-
"...various displacements facilitated..."

-tomas-
Oh sure, "they" are to blame :-/

The moneyed-elite get a free pass as usual.

What religion are they?

PS - Barack will know what to do .. more inflated/debased currency, when handled a lot, turns a darker shade of green

You got your man, Alex. Reverend Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition looks a lot like the macaw-photo of yours.

Obama's Emanuel and Biden's Klain, chiefs' of staff, (both leftwing fascists) will know what is best for the rest of us remaining gentiles.

Avraham Berg has written articles that have appeared in the Guardian. At the same time, there also appeared articles tracing a new resurgence of (*shhhhhhh!* we are not allowed to use the term!) anti-Semitism. Here is that article.

My personal view---and I was interested in and supported the New Jewish Agenda in defining a two-state solution back in the late 80s and early 90s, though I did not understand things as I understand them now (which is not an absolute position by any means)---is that the general analysis of the Left---Berg is pretty much on the Left---does not, cannot or will not take a full, panorama of view into consideration. It is as if in their idealism they fail to see things completely, and though many thoughtful people might agree---and do agree---with his general view, and would like to support a 'good-faith' effort to achieve a viable solution, the unfortunate fact is that the whole situation seems poisoned, and many positive steps (on the part of Israel) end up turning out badly. Personally, I see the problem originating in a general Arab implacability, and a core refusal to accept any sort of a Jewish state, a State of Jews, or however you wish to say it.

My 'interior perception', the one that I hold to myself, that cannot be stated outrightly, except that now I will say it, is that, in truth, you don't really care about Israel, or Jews, the safety of Jews, or their future. Nor do Dan, Leyla, Faust, Shahazard and a certain number of people who post here (and out there in the world at large). I personally feel, but I cannot validate the opinion, that this problem could have been solved a long, long time ago, if there would have been a general will to solve it.

I personally think that many of you, consciously or unconsciously, have a strange stake in things staying as they are, so you can indulge your blind, relentless hatreds that are nowhere and never expressed toward any other people as they are allowed to be expressed toward Jews (for all the old reasons). Its like you are addicted to it, like its a part of you, that you need it. I think this is a role that Jews have been assigned to, and in roles of this sort their is always a sort of pathology of role-sharing. That you define Jews in a certain way is not vain definition. These definitions have effect, and the defining process is a circle of relationship, like a dysfunctional relationship, a pathological dysfunction. This is what I take away from these 'conversations' with you, the Geniuses. I make concrete contributions to organizations working for peace in Israel---Do any of you? (You may for all I know).

The way I see things Israel as a State is the attempt by Jews to break out of a pathological role, but it is not surprising that (seemingly) no one of you (except those who have stated differently) has any real interest or understanding as to what, in fact, is anti-Semitism. Dan would actually uproot the term from discourse, and this is not really a joke. To break out of this role is, of course, going to take more effort than just willing it to be so, or hoping that it is so. No matter what happens, though, no matter where Jews exist and no matter what they do or don't do, there will be those who hate them, just for existing.

Some years ago I would not have said this, I actually thought differently---hoped differently. But now I count my allies as those who DO understand this, and also understand WHY this hatred has come into existence.
