GEORGE Pell states that we need to beware "radical environmentalists". I think we should be more concerned about people who speak to invisible friends.

Who is more insane?
I found this quip to The Australian newspaper today amusing. Cardinal George Pell is the leader of the Anglicans in this country:
Re: Who is more insane?
By "friends" plural, I wonder if he may also have been referring to that horror that is Tony Abbott.I think we should be more concerned about people who speak to invisible friends.
Without warning Abbott, and without checking with Cardinal George Pell's office, Jones put it to Abbott that he had met Pell "during the election campaign".
Initially Abbott could not recall any such meeting. But he did remember when it was suggested the get-together took place "at the presbytery in Sydney". Jones implied that Abbott's initial response had been willfully false - in view of the fact that the meeting had been held a mere "10 days ago". The scenario turned on the implication that Abbott had visited Pell to give him "counselling" - with a view to the Cardinal criticising Labor's policy on funding for non-government schools.

Sadly, the walking moral and intellectual crime that is Abbott is anything but invisible.
