ENLIGHTENMENT OR EMPOWERMENT
ENLIGHTENMENT OR EMPOWERMENT
as i said before i came here to see if there was any more truth here than what i previously encountered
besides vedanata and vajarayana my two main influences neither of which made any issue of the masculine vs the feminine (not masculine and feminine the vs is key here) in fact the main mantra seemed to be the god was beyond duality
other than kevin i have found only a few who seem to be truly transcendent or at least with the awareness of what transcendence is or might be i will not mention names other than that i see nothing truly different here than any other philosophy forum of which there are many
with the exception of the emphasis on masculinity
which brought to mind a question is this genius spoken of here enlightenment or empowerment
the thought came to mind from a book i have read a number of times
the master game by robert s de ropp
the postulate of the book is simple the only thing worth having is freedom
that people tend to get involved in meta games each with their trophy or prize
In his book The Master Game, De Ropp paints with broad, strong, and sweeping strokes, clearing a basic way to begin thinking about the problem: essentially life is a series of "games," and from here, it's really a matter of which game you want to play.
By "game," he does not mean anything unimportant, trivial, or not serious; quite the contrary, as he states, "having found the game, play it with intensity - play as if your life and sanity depended on it. (They do depend on it)."
three low
one neutral
three higher
and the highest which is awakening
the low games and their prizes are
hog in a trough - wealth
cock on a dunghill - fame
the moloch game - victory or glory (the deadliest of all games)
the neutral game is the house holder
This "Neutral Game" De Ropp describes as "The Householder Game" is simply "to raise a family and provide it with the necessities of life." It is stated as neutral because it is"the basic biological game on which the continuation of the human race depends."
three high games
art- beauty
science - knowledge
religion - salvation
and finally the master game -awakening
I sought a Goal the existence of which
I had become convinced was highly probable.
I succeeded in finding this Goal,
and now I KNOW,
and can also say to all others:
"It is absolutely worth anything that it may cost,
and immeasurably more."
- Franklin Merrill-Wolff
now the emphasis here at the genius forum seems to be that if one can destroy the feminine one will thereby become awakened
which brings me back to the moloch game let me explore that a bit
moloch is a god that requires sacrifice not the sacrifice of your delusions but blood sacrifice
the sacrifice of children
In Milton's Paradise Lost, Moloch is one of the greatest warriors of the rebel angels, vengeful and militant
"besmeared by blood of human sacrifice and tears"
example: the attempts in the bible to kill both moses and jesus by killing all new borns
abraham and issac
so in my short time here it has occurred to me that this particular form of enlightenment as genius the sacrifice of the feminine/child as a means to awakening has strong elements of the moloch
when awakening is described as a prize it makes me question
is it really enlightenment that is being sought as in awakening
or is it empowerment with overtones of glory

Yep. damn you're brilliant. There is a strong NWO contingency here, sky. Moloch is worshipped at Bohemian Grove, where all the big wigs meet to stroke each other.sky wrote:

Re: ENLIGHTENMENT OR EMPOWERMENT
Keep in mind that "feminine" really means "unconsciousness" (or un-awakened).sky wrote:now the emphasis here at the genius forum seems to be that if one can destroy the feminine one will thereby become awakened
The rocks and earth and grass, worms and insects are all unconscious, and hence "feminine". The cells of our own bodies, the neurones in our own brains, are all unconscious.
So "destroying the feminine" is not practical. Rather, the goal is to decrease the level of unconsciousness in our own minds and in the minds of others - to increase the level of consciousness.
But for something to be born, something else must die. And when consciousness is born, then some ignorance (unconsciousness) dies.
It is like fresh pure air, as opposed to dirty polluted air. Those who are dissatisfied or made ill by the impure air seek the pure air.when awakening is described as a prize it makes me question
Beyond the typical rhetoric, what's sought here is empowerment. People come here to stroke their egos, because for some reason it's too hard to simply live in reality, so we must create something of it. This brand of philosophy is like a religion, in that people use it as a crutch. It brings meaning to their lives.
I don't know anything about enlightenment.

Allow me to use an example of Jesus without deflection, get the point being made.sschaula wrote:Beyond the typical rhetoric, what's sought here is empowerment. I don't know anything about enlightenment.
When Jesus was curing some who were thought to have demons(insanity and illnesses), the crowd, religous leaders, even his disciples would get confused.
The accusations began to fly at Jesus that he was the one who had "the king of demons" - confusion is as confusion does.
Wait until the dust settles, you cannot make judgments with clear sight with vested interest.
It only matters what you think and experience.

How the hell he came to that conclusion and exactly what brand of enlightenment (or empowerment as Sky astutely observed) that he thinks he’s obtained – I can’t fathom. Where did you learn this from Kevin? You didn’t learn this from Buddha, which is what I mistakenly associated you with. You my friend are not enlightened. Why would you want to kill that part of you that is in tune with nature (ie “earth and grass, worms and insects)? And for what? Consciousness? The consciousness that you are talking about is a purely human consciousness – your ego!
Kevin is saying that the following four concepts are synonymous: nature, femininity, ignorance, and unconsciousness. If we kill this unifying principle of “femininity†within us then we will obtain enlightenment (“like fresh pure air, as opposed to dirty polluted airâ€).Keep in mind that "feminine" really means "unconsciousness" (or un-awakened).

What we can do is be pure ourselves and the acid test is do you care about me as much as yourself? Not in surface 'feely touchy' but is it what you are?
If we do experience this as reality we can speak with authority and it will be confused by those who are attempting to preserve what little love they know. When you care you put it all on the line, holding nothing back as there remains nothing left to protect.
When this is experienced you can see with crystal clear vision as you care so deeply for the other you always do what is best for them as well as yourself.
As you have written, meditation clears many blockages and if you always follow your conscious, you can be fearless as you have no hidden agenda. Your thought is always the highest good for all.

I was raised in a very austere religious sect and tried for many years to extinguish 'sin'. It never worked as the thing I was struggling with always seemed to match whatever energy I would put into the fight.
We cannot save ourselves as the energy we put into the struggle is like handing a loaded gun to your enemy. It uses the struggle to empower itself and makes us its slave.
There is a scripture "Be still and know" - yes indeed. Trust your conscious or heart. Most see the conscious as their enemy as it makes them feel guilty. It has always been your highest self and will lead you to freedom.
You must take the time to know your own consciousness so that you follow it blindly and trust what is pure within you with absolute abandon.
Use forgiveness when something is blocking and trust that you are pure.
I mean it is not always readily apparent who has pure motive and who is sinister. It is not always clear who is deluded and who is filled with understanding ... until. What do you mean, Being?

Carefull not to take sides, that leads to resentment. I know Kevin is motivated by truth regardless our disagreements.Beingof1, of the three celibates I've encountered on this forum, You are the only one who seems authentically motivated. Please shed some light on this discourse. Do you subdue your feminine nature (or as some postulate – nature in general)?

Remember that I said it was not practical to kill the feminine (unconsciousness), because if we did we would ultimately have to kill everything in the Universe, including that which makes consciousness possible.AlyOshA wrote:Kevin is saying that the following four concepts are synonymous: nature, femininity, ignorance, and unconsciousness. The average person is probably 99% unconscious - 99% animal or earthworm-like. By becoming more conscious something is destroyed, and that which is destroyed is his ignorance, his animality, his unconscious lifestyle.
Everything is in tune with Nature, including all the ignorance, violence, murder and war. Nothing can ever be out of tune with Nature since Nature pulls the strings of absolutely everything. Why would you want to kill that part of you that is in tune with nature
Becoming conscious means awakening to the ways of Nature, instead of being unconsciously swept along by it.

Thanks for the advice Beingof1, but my approach was to be offensive and take sides. Different approaches elicit different results. By stating the posting in the manner I did, I obtained the insightful response that I was seeking from both you and Kevin. My seeming vested interest and aggression worked in this case. I only joined this forum a week ago and I am still not familiar with the players. If I utilize different personas (and play different sides) but keep to my core, then I feel it possible to learn something from this site. But that will take time.Everything is in tune with Nature, including all the ignorance, violence, murder and war. All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy,
beg, borrow or steal.
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say.
All that you eat
And everyone you meet
All that you slight
And everyone you fight.
All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
and everything under the sun is in tune
but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
