I spent a very long time soothing the board. It was proven here that people could critique each other's arguments without getting nasty. Some trolls and clowns crept in, and were not dealt with on an individual basis. Some cognitive drift happened, and rather than give constructive criticism, one admin came in with general statements that boiled down to saying that the board sucked (which only prompted more can-throwing from the sidelines rather than any constructive criticism), and another one ran away thinking that we would guess his critique from that.

These 2 admins decided to deal with it by dropping a bomb on Worldly Matters. Methodology critiques were made of these 2 admins, which has resulted in much kicking of the people doing the critiques, and much fearful bowing to these 2 admins. Dan has responded appropriately to my points (in case you hadn't noticed, he is a grown-up who can fight his own battles), but even Diebert felt further need to do some kicking.

Well, we enjoyed a brief period of thoughts. It seems that the board is more interested in the blood than the thoughts, though.
