Libertarian = Capitalist in denial.

l used to be libertarian, now l've embraced the hypocracy of a private property owning capitalist, who doesnt like to pay taxes, whilst enjoying public health and infrastructure.

And what a release it is, acknowledging my double standards and inconsistencies, rather than intellectually contriving rationalisations for the bullshiat.
Moving in the direction of liberalism leads to economic stagnation though, especially in the area of science and technology. It is no coincidence that Countries like Japan and the US are leaders in science and technology, while liberal countries like France and Canada rely heavily on those countries. Liberal countries end of being suborbinate to the more more libertarian countries, a liberal political philosophy has a sort of feminizing affect. Moreover, Having income taxes of 40% or greater stiftles economic growth for big business and the middle-class.

I actually agree with George Bush`s policy of drastic capital gains cuts for big business because it allows them to have the profits to invest, and therefore compete in the global economy.

And if the government privatized as many services as possble, and get rid of as many departments as possible, then this would make it possible to cut taxes for the middle-class as well.

Basically, absolute Liberalism creates a fairly comfortable feminine society, which is less productive and creative, while absolute libertarism creates a tougher rugged masculine society that leads the world in innovation. However, the weak and disabled usually have a tougher time surviving, but the society ends up being much more creative as a whole.

However, I don't believe all services can be privatized, but many of them can, which will only strengthen the economy. For instance: Regarding infrastructure renewel, there is no reason why private companies cannot compete for contracts to rebuild large highways, which would actually lower the cost overall. The government should not have any sort of monopoly at the expense of the tax payer. They are hypocrites because it is illegal for big business to have a monopoly, but okay for the government to.
