As for being judgemental, when these type (i.e."desire to put a halt to everyone’s thought processes, just so that they may never be judged in a negative light") more than anything they want you to hold your tongue, not your thoughts, to refrain from hurting someone with useless words, since they're hopelessly beyond reach anyway, and can only suffer to hear you.
My grandfather used to say--If you cant say something good dont say anything. Not to knock the power and value of truth, just that more than thinking these type object to saying/hearing/knowing. Those caught up in relativism cannot fathom that your opinion is anything more than an opinion, so it can only make them feel good or bad.
As for that great expression above, that of justifying ones existence by working, so very true to America, and much of the world. Certainly it can be good as well as bad, depending on the work. Any peoples must have its philosophy of life, though never perfect, and not for everyone, we can be glad places like America also make provision for the odd-ball, though he is not much respected, the less so the better his mind is.
As for attachments, one of the greatest and most insidious it that to communicating, being heard and speaking/writing, being understood and the rest. All of which happens here. There is little less ego in doing this over wires than there is face-to-face, it still can be a powerful opportunity for the ego, one which he would go mad without, if there were no other contacts available. So bear in mind that if you prevail over all number and manner of attachments yet must come here to talk about it, then you really havent gotten to the core and may be wise to direct your ax to the big tree over yonder.
If you really want to know how attached you really are to people, to engagement, to being recognized, to being safe, go, go where all this is impossible, leave your cell phone and go. Most of us wouldnt last a day.

People are only inclined to fix a problem about their ego, if they're hurting. It's a biological instinct. Only when a person sees "health and comfort" as "highly logical thinking", will they be able to fix the hurt. It's the same for everyone.Lennyrizzo wrote:As for being judgemental, when these type (i.e."desire to put a halt to everyone’s thought processes, just so that they may never be judged in a negative light") more than anything they want you to hold your tongue, not your thoughts, to refrain from hurting someone with useless words, since they're hopelessly beyond reach anyway, and can only suffer to hear you.
Also, the rage people experience over being challenged is because of struggling with one's own conscience. How else will a person abandon egotistical comforts until he is pushed far enough into suffering to logically connect it with insanity?
People aren't fixed entities: they are continually being born into new existences. Even if they spend most of their time being wretched animals, at any moment, they can be born into humans, given enough impetus.
I've tried many days of being a hermit. I still don't last, because the core of attachment doesn't belong to material experiences, but to thoughts. If you really want to know how attached you really are to people, to engagement, to being recognized, to being safe, go, go where all this is impossible, leave your cell phone and go. The better method is to dive into thought in the midst of it all, as if one is immediately on an island. There, in the cave-like isolation of one's own crystal-clear thoughts, one is a clinical philosopher, meditating on the walls of the world.

I dont think the kind of isolation that I have in mind, that will really really make you aware of what you are made of, has been attempted by many people. For instance, when most go off to be alone for a while they have a way of bringing themselves back to the world of their friends and comfort whenever they like, or at some preset point. Also they are usually never the only person who knows where they are. What I have in mind, what would really work to open eyes, I doubt anyone here has been there for even 5 minutes.

Sure, no one likes the best medicine, tends to be quite bitter, nevertheless we havent any right to force it upon others, though at times it may be the wisest course. I would think one would have to be a very high level sage with years of experience and testing, before he might regard himself fit to force the Truth upon most others. It's tempting to throw ones weight around, so to speak, when one becomes sure of their superiority, but more often than not it's counterproductive and may have unforseen negative consequences to the cause itself.
This is why the Nazi's have gotten such a bad reputation.

Lenny:
And months at a time with some human contact.
Once transparency has been experienced by seeing right through yourself as if looking through glass, others are just as transparent and nothing can hide from the gaze of absolute clarity. The reason is everything moves in the realm of consciousness.
For example; someone else may be using your computer to look at things that may be 'controversial'. Another person who feels threatened by you may take a look at the pages the person is viewing and mistake you for looking at these 'controversial' pages. Both are keeping secrets.
This person (that feels threatened) begins to tell others about how you are attached to some addictions.
Both perceptions are not hidden from your view, just no need to go around correcting every single misperception as that would be hacking at the limbs rather than going to the root. To expose either of the misperceptions would be to 'show off' and attain nothing but being alienated. It is not about who is right and wrong and justification.
Reality is not a concept it is an absence of separation.
"I"/not -"I" is a concept and brings polar pairs. If the "I"/not -"I" merges the concept evaporates.
The original state is when we are not aware of our beingness or that is all one can be aware of. It is nonlocal and nonlinear. It has no position to compare to velocity. Time could be said to be 'thought in motion'. This does not mean we cease to relate to others, on the contrary, we heal as many as can be healed including what may block the view.
The plant transcends the limitation of being a seed.

That's like saying a baby transcends the limitation of being a fetus. The plant transcends the limitation of being a seed.
It's inevitable, through an apparent perception of time, and genetic forward motion.
In actuality, they are one and the same, stillborn, the plant, the seed, illusions in infinity.

What is Chaung Tzu alluding to here, within the first sentence? Is it not the ephemeral dominance of perception? The totality of A=A?The understanding of the men of ancient times went a long way. How far did it go? To the point where some of them believed that things have never existed. Those who came after them thought that things existed, but recognized no boundaries among them. And those after them thought there were boundaries, but recognized no right and wrong. When right and wrong appeared, the Way was injured.
Which is it, really? The beauty of Nature hides in its candor.Men claim that Mao‑ch'iang and Lady Li were beautiful, but if fish saw them they would dive to the bottom of the stream, if birds saw them they would fly away, and if deer saw them they would break into a run. Of these four, which knows how to fix the standard of beauty for the world?
Chuang Tzu saw the essence of a dust fleck and sneezed. The True Man of ancient times knew nothing of loving life, knew nothing of hating death. He emerged without delight; he went back in without a fuss. He came briskly, he went briskly, and that was all. He didn't forget where he began; he didn't try to find out where he would end. He received something and took pleasure in it; he forgot about it and handed it back again. This is what I call not using the mind to repel the Way, not using man to help out Heaven. This is what I call the True Man.

Perceptions are indeed infinite in truth, consciousness... understanding serves to focus one in clarity. You become your own mirror, your own true Self. Others perceptions of their self, glaringly jump out in transparency, for within confusion, ones light of soul, Self, consciousness, can easily see where the confusion lay. Others experiences are subjective to them, born through anothers Self doubt. Many things then become irrelavent, such as the 'assumptions' from another.. as mentioned above the root cause is easily accessable and that is also true of all things.Beingof1 wrote:Once transparency has been experienced by seeing right through yourself as if looking through glass, others are just as transparent and nothing can hide from the gaze of absolute clarity. Another serves to teach you. For in gaining understanding of this nature, clarity becomes crystal. There IS no right or wrong, just different understanding.
Reality is knowing that many are manifesting as the one and the 'I' becomes manifest as part of the many. Thereby absence of separation.Beingof1 wrote:Reality is not a concept it is an absence of separation.
Consciousness's ultimate goal is to become aware of itself. Within physical reality, the density, causes time delay of cause and effect and this is what fuels the confusion and illusion of non-aware perception of reality. In this linear experience of time, ones conscious growth and understanding in awareness of Self takes much time. We create experience we need to learn from, karma. Wisdom is gained. Consciousness had NO experience of 'good' and 'evil' in linear time, We fell from grace. wisdom serves understanding of this concept in our physical reality. In pure awareness, One transcends to God consciousness aware of itself present withinin ALL. Wisdom is truth, the language of 'God', thought, creation. The power of thought is creation, in accordance with what IS. Consciousness is love and light energy, higher vibrational dimensions. Consciousness creates it self, fueled by itself, in an expanding infinite awareness beyond linear time and space. Time and space were created to manifest in density and physical form. We doubt our very being and many are 'lost' known only through 'hope' and smiles and love. To find ones Self belief is to know that fear and doubt do not exist, they are entrapments of the mind encasing consciousness behind ones ‘mask’, subjective perception.Beingof1 wrote:The original state is when we are not aware of our beingness or that is all one can be aware of. I would say, perceptions are derived from infinite truth but I do understand the point you are making.elderwoodxxx wrote:

You do indeed become your own mirror - you have found the secret of the mystery hid in the eons and who I am, is found afresh in you. You lift me and when reading your words, I give thanks.
All answers, and you know this, are found within consciousness as it is the framework of reality. When I read the scriptures, I ask myself; "What did I mean when I wrote this"?
What used to take years to learn - I can now assimilate knowledge in days or hours. You are experiencing this also, I can see it.
It is difficult for most to understand what you are saying because they are still projecting a concept creation and it sounds like jibber jabber when compared to this structure they have in the mind. After all, they may have taken years to create the image of reality and how dare you come as a destroyer of worlds ;)Others experiences are subjective to them, born through anothers Self doubt. Do not let this deter you as you are lifting us all - my only suggestion is to brush up on the logical structure of the syllogism so that it can be measured with more precision and thus, invincible in the world of relative comparisons.
You are who I am and I rejoice.

As all is contained within consciousness and therefore, nothing can hide as truth makes manifest what attempts to veil. It is so very simple isn't it?Beingof1 wrote:Reality is not a concept it is an absence of separation.

When one stands naked in the gaze of the light of truth, one has no shame and is liberated for expression in fearless experience as the limited conceptual knowledge is transcended by understanding which leads to caring in a momentum of the infinite.
I would say its ultimate goal is expression of agape.Beingof1 wrote:The original state is when we are not aware of our beingness or that is all one can be aware of. It is nonlocal and nonlinear. My being here is sowing seeds within ;-) My logical reason is expressed more clearly within my writting I have yet to type, I also find a flaw in Humes theory of reasoning and then later discovered he acknowledged the same flaw himself, that of reason being within the subjective mind.Beingof1 wrote:It is difficult for most to understand what you are saying because they are still projecting a concept creation and it sounds like jibber jabber when compared to this structure they have in the mind. When one reads my body of work as a whole one would become aware of the fact that to question what I say would be to question their own Self belief and thus acknowledge their own flaws. My work is not about me or for me, it is for 'you' ;-) It is called ' A book about me by someone like you'.

I am detested in some parts of the internet because unable to be a competent liar, in this modern world, is viewed as dysfunction. Truly, at times, the patients are running the clinic.
Truth is associated with pain because it reveals the repressed anxiety and resentment that has taken years to suppress out of the conscious mind. It resurfaces by the questioning of the identity. As Jesus would always ask "who are you"?: when confronting a demon and the identity that he was speaking to was incapable of an answer.
Once the ego answers this question, or more accurately, realizes it is incapable of answering, it evaporates. All that is left, after the darkness subsides, is the light of the truth.
When one reads my body of work as a whole one would become aware of the fact that to question what I say would be to question their own Self belief and thus acknowledge their own flaws. My work is not about me or for me, it is for 'you' ;-) It is called ' A book about me by someone like you'.
