I've just come across this partial e-book. The Structure of the Physical Universe by Dewey B. Larson. http://www.rsystem.org/spu/index.htm
It is old (1959) and I haven't yet read it but the few pages I read so far seem to be pretty well on the mark. I get the impression he will end up being far more correct than the vast bulk of modern day physicists.
I like him so far because he says things like this, which are in agreement with my views about time.
"Newton looked upon space and time as two independent entities. Modern theory recognizes that they are not independent, and regards them as components of a four-dimensional structure in which there are three dimensions of space and one dimension of time. But if we examine the bases of these two hypotheses it is apparent that they are both purely arbitrary assumptions, and in view of the points brought out in the preceding paragraphs neither of them should ever have been given any consideration until after the consequences of extrapolating the relation applicable in the known region had been thoroughly explored. In this known region the relation between space and time is recognized as motion."
"In beginning an examination of the consequences of the two Fundamental Postulates we note first that they involve a progression of space-time which is similar to the progression of time as it is ordinarily visualized. Let us consider a location A somewhere in space-time. During the next unit of time this location progresses to A + 1 in time and since one unit of time, on the basis of the First Fundamental Postulate, is equivalent to one unit of space the location also progresses to A + 1 in space. When n units of time have elapsed the location has progressed to A + n both in space and in time."
He has other books http://www.rsystem.org/dbl/index.htm
I ... h reading.
eg
The Case Against the Nuclear Atom
“A rude and outspoken book.â€
Beyond Newton
“...Recommended to anyone who thinks the subject of gravitation and general relativity was opened and closed by Einstein.â€
New Light on Space and Time
A bird’s eye view of the theory and its ramifications.
The Neglected Facts of Science
Explores the implications for physical science of the observed existence of scalar motion.

OBSERVATION
!When n units of time have elapsed the location has progressed to A + n both in space and in time.
Makes ya laugh, don't it?
No wonder they believed in time machines.
