so why single out construction workers? You could just as easily lament the tragedy of rock stars or computer programmers.
This entire thread is focused on the endurance of physical suffering on the body, which is more akin to construction workers compared to a rock star or a computer programmer. However, both your examples are not without their own unique negative attributes.

Aristotle said it best when he said, “all paid labor degrades the body and mind”

I’m actually optimistic that perhaps robots will eventually replace construction workers.

You can feel willing to sigh and bemoan the state of our society every time you drive past a group of construction workers but there is no need to vilify me for my "callousness" with the typical bleeding heart response.

I don't.

I'm not, but on this board there is an imperative, to point out inconsistencies and fallacies in thinking. You invite that by posting.

That's fine but what were the inconsistencies?

I stated people have free will in the direction their lives take, however, apparently you disagree with that assumption. That doesn't make it a logical fallacy just a disagreement.

You back this assumption up by mentioning wage slavery which, once again, is part of the disagreement. If you want to explain yourself further then be my guest but I don't share your beliefs in this matter. Instead of trying to paint me as "callous" and "incredibly naive" make your case; or keep trying to score meaningless "points" it doesn't really matter to me.
