A Reflection on Christmas Eve
Yes, the miracle of the virgin birth is true. But it is true for all of us.
Let me explain. Each of us is a unique experience. To ourselves, we experience our private world. And in that most private world, no one can enter; which is to say, no one can touch our personal self. Our mothers are no different than us; which is to say, no one, not even our fathers, could touch our mothers’ personal selves. So, our mothers are untouched; which is to say, we do have virgin mothers.
