I have a question for all of you other pro-religious members of this forum. Are you embarrassed by the methods and behaviors of Millipodium? I for one, (as someone who is pro-religion) am downright embarrassed. Well I did learn something from you millipodium, you are a nice wake up call to how some people think. Thank you. Oh and just in case you haven’t done your research, I wasn’t promoting the church of euthanasia or claiming them to be in accordance to my beliefs.

alexei, ignore him. In his short time here, milli has time and again shown himself to have no interest in truth. Don't worry about his attacks at all: everyone reading your exchange with him can plainly see that he's only roughing up a strawman. He hasn't even seen his target, let alone landed a single blow.

I'll give you a reply to your post later. I prefer to ruminate for a few days before responding.

Thanks Mookestink.

I've already learned more from you than I have from half the books I read.

Well. I should say the half of the books I’ve read that weren’t written by Dostoevsky.

Heh, I thought so. I liked Brothers Karamazov: the only other place I've seen that name.

Yeah. It’s hard to argue against The Grand Inquisitor. Poor Alyosha, his father Zossima was such a bore.

if you believe sense feel that there is a god if you see god in all things and all events if you feel his presence at all times does that mean you are religious

Yeah, the best way I can think to describe Millipodium is; he is kind of like some guy who is really, really afraid of snakes and when he sees something that looks like a snake (but is really a rope) he goes into a frenzy and starts beating on the thing he thinks is a snake. No matter how rationally you try to show him that the thing he is trying to attack is just a helpful rope, he just keeps going. Eventually he walks away feeling triumphant.

When I first had my run in with him, I thought he might of just have been having a bad day. But his 'traumatized paranoid war-veteran' sort of personality is pretty consistent.

Alyosha: and just in case you haven’t done your research, I wasn’t promoting the church of euthanasia or claiming them to be in accordance to my beliefs.
That’s the thing with mill. He gets confused by people who can passively discuss ideas that they don’t necessarily believe in.

If he catches you passively posing a question, such as: “I wonder if suicide is ok under some conditions?” - He will begin attacking you, accusing you as someone who is an eltitist, pro-suicide, nihilist, anti-humanist, Buddhist zealot.

The absurdity lies in acknowledging just how elitist he is.

He unabashedly asserts matter of factly that 1) he believes he is superior to me and 2) that he established a thread that was designed to humiliate me and anyone who thinks like me.

But then he accuses me and other people of being elitist!

However, despite he can't admit his own mistakes, despite he has a very hard time not being hypocritical and contradictory, there is still something about him that I like.

He does have some decent opinions and he can be pretty funny.

I find myself laughing at some of the insults he directs at me.

But other than is vitriolic wit, he has proven to be very unwise, very emotional.

This is more a contemplation of semantics and it depends on your definition of religious. Is spiritual a better word than religious? I would say that you are definitely a spiritualist.

Thanks Cory that was a very helpful insight into the nature of the beast. And I agree, that kind of extreme can be very entertaining. Next time I will take his shameless blows joyfully.

In this profound stillness how can desires come forward? When desires can no longer come forward, there is essential and unchanging stillness.
Truth is essentially unchanging.
All things in The Universe and in our world are in essence unchanging.
The unfolding of a person's mind leads them to this unchanging truth.
In unchanging Stillness, unchanging Purity and Rest are found.
Those who attain Purity and Stillness enter into the Immutable TAO.
Having entered the Immutable TAO they are named Possessor of TAO.
Although they are named Possessor of TAO they know they do not possess it.
Who is noticing the Tao is empty?

Emptiness is useful. Emptiness is charged with the seed of potential. Emptiness is an unchanging stillness. Emptiness is eternal. Don’t be confused by semantics, when contemplating something of this nature you realize the profound limitations of the written word, and if this is the case then delve deeper and ask more questions.

I’m sorry for using this thread for a totally irrelevant inquiry but I have a question. I don’t know a whole lot about QRS and I am rather new to this system. But what is all this reference to masculinity (on this forum and in its descriptions)? It seems that masculinity is the preferred characteristic. Am I right? And why is this approach considered better than the feminine approach?

I'll start a new thread and post an answer there.

alexei,

I notice that in the new thread (Masculine and Feminine Psychology) you are touching on the same topics as here, with someone whose views are more complete than my own (Quinn). You've got your hands full dealing with that, and I prefer reading to writing, so I'll step back and watch that thread until something crops up that's in my league.

Mookestink you shouldn’t condescend your own wisdom. I have learned from you, and I will only cease learning from you if you cease having confidence in your abilities.

Also, my mother is severely bipolar. I feel that the closer you walk with insanity, pain, and destruction, the closer you become to overcoming (transcending) these things. I would love to discuss these matters with you (more useful for me than endless mental exercises in reason).

Look Millipodium. I know I acted all sensitive with you before, but I figured we were in the game of the ego and the game of the ego is to win. It was just folly. But I got to tell you, this is absolutely hilarious. Really, genuinely funny. I can’t tell how nice it is for you to interject you nonsensical witticisms. Let me relate you a parable. I knew this monk named Kazumitkin, well actually I just heard about him. And he would supposedly stand in front of the toilet with his genitals out for the entire day, calm as can be. He would pee, then a few hours later, pee again, you know, occasionally he would drink some water. But he stood there all day, between the times that he would pee. I guess what I’m saying is, piss as much as you can now, because you can’t take a piss when you’re dead.
