Well Thanx Elizabeth. If you wanna look at the question more carefully, http://daybrown.org has digital novels crafted for presentation on this screen rather than being printed on paper in a book. I'm still messing with the software, fonts, colors, and so on, but there are cultures that used sex rather than violence to control the behavior of men that these tales delve into.

The history is obscure, but naturally, those who used violence to control men did all they could to eradicate any evidence of any other methods. But just as patient archaeologists can piece together shattered pots, the reconstruction of how women used sex in the past is possible.

I wonder how many of us are sufficiently 'egghead' to even remember who said what memorably. I do remember Trevor having some cool lines. And David is often an entertaining and sometimes trenchant writer. Victor's idiot diatribes could probably yield some quotables, too. But I guess I'll leave it to you, Elizabeth to compile a yearbook of the wise and witty.

Dont leave yourself out Carl. It is those who think the most differently that are free to be the most innovative.

Thank you Ryan for this last minute entry. I admit, it was difficult to choose the most interesting quote out of the whole post, but I settled on this one:
Ryan Rudolph wrote:And how could a society of sages possibly survive on their own?
I had previously thought of your sages being hunted down and driven off by Christians scenario, but that must have been 2006. Thanks for the 2007 version.

Both Oriental and Occidental sages have said that the best life has to offer is tending a garden in obscurity. They dont hunt you down cause they dont even know you exist. Those who speak do not know, those who know, do not speak. And the reason they keep silent is that they know how useless it is. You cant argue with neurotics. That is for fools, not sages.
