Any thoughts?
Here is a video of a guy named Michael Tsarion talking about 2012, among many other things. I don't necessarily buy into the 2012 theory, but I'm more interested in what he says about Carl Jung, Freud, and humanity in general. It is quite a long video, but if anyone has any interest please look into it.

Re: Any thoughts?
I only watched the very start of it, and it looked very dodgy right from the start.
It's not an established fact that individuals were outright "lying" about their belief that there was a WMD program in Iraq.
So when he started his talk with the conclusion that people were outright lying about this, that's when I stopped watching.

Here is a good youtube vid to refresh your memory how it all went down and clear up any confusion. (Link)

It's just a ride.

It's not an established fact to whom? The establishment media? To you, personally? How much research have you done?Kevin Solway wrote:I only watched the very start of it, and it looked very dodgy right from the start.

Because of this one idea which you find "dodgy" you stopped watching? How logical is that? Sounds like a knee-jerk reaction -- an emotional reaction. I find it borderline delusional to base one's thinking about empirical thinking upon such simplistic criteria. So when he started his talk with the conclusion that people were outright lying about this, that's when I stopped watching.
I have seen this before in you, Kevin.
How can one who is so 'up' on philosophical truth be so backward and rudimentary -- so blind -- when it comes to thinking about empirical -- and, I might add, psychic -- reality?

Re: Any thoughts?
When he reached the point in his talk when he, with reverence, referred to David Icke, that's when I stopped watching.

I find it difficult to have an open mind about things and stop listening because you do not agree with one thing. I don't know that I can read these men's minds and say they knew they lying and they did it anyway, but it is a possibility that they knew this and I personally would not rule that out.Kevin Solway wrote:I only watched the very start of it, and it looked very dodgy right from the start.

Re: Any thoughts?
Why? That's like Kevin quitting because one statement which didn't agree with his view of reality was uttered. I didn't even hear the Icke word mentioned, though I don't dispute that it was. And what's up with the "amazon" link? Are you saying, "look, David Icke, who wrote this book, need I say more?" That's not enough, I think you do need to say more.Cory Duchesne wrote:When he reached the point in his talk when he, with reverence, referred to David Icke, that's when I stopped watching.
This is a meaningless phrase, a simplistic kiss-off that only shows your own closed mindedness. It's what Christian fundamentalist would say. It's merely New Age conspiracism

This Tsarion guy talks about the war on the conscious mind and things like that. I thought it might interest some.

Hard to find the part that you are talking about. But the part about human, and biological bodies emitting photons was interesting.ZenMuadDib wrote:This Tsarion guy talks about the war on the conscious mind and things like that. I thought it might interest some.

It is essentially throughout. It would be hard to find if you're just skimming since it is 3 and a half hours long.Pincho Paxton wrote:Hard to find the part that you are talking about. I thought it was a decent video. Nothing I hadn't heard before, but generally well put. I'd never seen or heard of Tsarion before, and I liked him.

His main thrust -- the premise -- is correct. Various details within are subject to error or disagreement, but with such a big picture these are relatively unimportant. No source is pure. It is one's responsibility as a reader and thinker always to glean wheat from chaff and cut meat from bones.

Yea I agree. I think he might be a little irresponsible here though. He is trying to create a history, a very fantastical one at that, that would change the entire outlook of people. Maybe he does not expect us to accept the history part of it outright though.Carl G wrote:His main thrust -- the premise -- is correct. Re: Any thoughts?
I agree. A lot of the oldest history part of it is unsupported. Yet it still functions usefully as myth, as metaphoric explanation for the foundation of the present psychic landscape of the individual and the collective.
