Nick, I support the notion you can change things. I just want to know what you want to do. It sounds eerily like religious persecution. IS that what you want? You're a very ineffective communicator for a genius.

Suffering will be their guide – and also the people they are in relationship to – but not you.

You have the mindset “we have to go out and do something!” but I’m saying “no, we don’t!”

The forum is something significant, what more do you think we should do?

To accept ones limitations is intelligence, However one can do small things like write a free booklet like Wisdom of the infinite, but that type of literature is quite common on the internet now

Lately I havent had the desire to go out into the world and do anything besides take care of the basic survival of the organsim.

This isn’t the movie 'The Matrix' where we have the responsibility to pull “Neos” out of the chaos.

If you were born into a wealthy situation then it would be a different story, you could experiment around a bit, but if you're born into a powerless situation then that is the fact of the matter.
We don't have to go to extreme measures to make a difference. Simply promoting Truth in your daily thoughts and actions is enough. We shouldn't "put our lamp under a bowl", after we get done typing a response on this forum. Allow others the oppurtunity to hear Truth, whether they want to or not. You might have a lasting influence on somebody and never know it. I'm not saying to preach, but by demonstrating Truth, and responding to people in a Truthful manner, they will know there is more to you than meets the eye. It's subtle, but it does the trick.

Also, if you were wondering why I singled out religion as something I would like to be dispeled. It is because I can't point to anything else in history which people have, and still use to cause so much death and destruction in the name of God. It is ignorance in all its violent and evil glory.

People throughout history have also had hair. Maybe hair is causing all the war.

By skywriting "jesus sucks"? Quit being so mysterious, it's only sexy if you have big jugs.

Hey, as Buckminster Fuller said: "Dare to be naive."

There are many paths to the top of the mountain, but when you get there, the view is the same.

...uh, he who has the most things when he dies, wins?

Not exactly. Some religions teach god loves you. SOme teach god doesn't care, and you're "bad" for caring.

Don't misunderstand the middle quote! First, it's not original with me. Second, it doen't say ALL PATHS lead to the top of the mountain, just that there are many that do. And it doesn't mention religion at all! I think the summit referred to is enlightenment, or else as deep an understanding as one's innate constitution - and lifespan - will allow. (All men clearly neither being created equal nor granted the same number of days.)

Confucianism is not a religion, yet may be such a path.

That guy was interesting.

Stick around, you add heart felt honesty.

millipodium,

You are the only poster I have ever seen who is better at sarcasm than I.

Do you have a reference book that you use?
