Doesn't seem to be easing your tension much, which is obviously affecting your "intension." Hmm, Freudian slips via persistent misspelling telling you something?

(Don't let the gentleness of this freak you out.)

No that's what fucking retards do. Drunken whores. Then again, that sums up also "spirituality" these days: devolution of a tired race.

You may want to consider that the stuff, as you call it, is rolling out of your self-concept.

Poor Kunga. You were deeply hurt in the past and you carry that. Find out what, let it go, you'll be happier.

I have to do some yard work. Springtime in this hemisphere. Take care.

To exist is to self.
that's the activity as Leyla suggests.

It's idiotic for a self selfing to say 'I ain't no self' whilst selfing because it takes a self selfing to say 'I ain't no self'.

The philosophical dilemma is:

if you ain't no self.

When did you stop beating your wife?

Trust me on this, the only persons who belittles you here is yourself. You've just done it in spades in this thread.

Yes, the question is not whether there is a thelf, um, self, but the manner in which such a thing exists. i.e. what concept of a self can there be without entering into delusional constructs.

Yeth. A paradox, such as neti neti. The perpetual unchanging belonging to, or accessed by all, or known but masked by delusion, can be referenced with words such as self, belonging, accessed, emptiness, and all, but is not bound to the limitations inherent in the word or concept, or combinations of words and concepts that are referenced, since words and concepts and references and interpretations are changeable.

I mean, is he saying there's a world "out there" that doesn't change, only our interpretations make it appear that way?

He was talking to Lelya.

anyway, whilst we can deduce the manner in which self occurs,

which suggests a Real.

it's Lacan's picture that the Real cannot be experienced.
ineffable silence.

Kunga is completely correct because you won't find her coming into a conversation and beginning by putting the other person down (Which btw is impossible to do without placing yourself above and hence 'big ego')

Grudges, contentment, competition, insults, 'egotistical'. (btw insults remain as insults, even if they are said to a rock)

It especially makes me laugh when some might refer to themselves as wise. Which is good because deep down you all know you are only blatantly lying to yourselves when you do so.

How do you do signatures? I would like to add one below each comment that says "If there is putting others down/insults it started from the person with the 'big ego', so then all you have to do is look where it started, to find the idiot who would rather compete than discuss" pretty accurate. If no one began putting another person beneath them then everyone would remain equal forever until someone began. There would only remain in-depth discussion, the forum being a place which was designed for discussion.

Dan wrote:

"What I'm saying is why do you keep talking about people being insulting when you have no self. What is being insulted?"

If someone said 'fucking idiot' to a rock, that remains an insult whether or not anyone is around to hear it, the words = insult. You'll notice I never said I was insulted, just that there was the egotistical speaking of insults.

Humans exist and can get insulted.

If the self does not exist, neither does an insult.

The wise, being selfless, are never insulted; their sole value is wisdom and their every action guided by and for it.

I think that should clear the matter up, eh?

it's Lacan's picture that the Real cannot be experienced.
The "Unpredictable/Unkowable". The self and the Real arise together in Lacan in a very particular (articulated!) form.

What Cahoot said -- a list of adjectives about "perpetual unchanging" -- appears to me to be more about the unconsious symbolic rather than the real.
