Seeker....this forum is made up of thinkers that prefer to not go along with herd mentality (the hive) Although I understand that you'd like to forum a group with like-minded intelligent people....intelligent people are more individualistic & less prone to group-think. I sense you enjoy leadership....no one here wants to be led by anyone. The Cosmic Consciousness is out there....we are all part of it already. All you have to do is close your eyes and access it. Commune with it...be with it...as you are already.....make a forum...invite....soon you will have what you are looking for....
Peace

This isn't a normal hive, everyone has a voice and we work collaboratively, for whatever we decide, I understand the individualistic tendencies of intelligent people, but this can also be a restricting characteristic don't you think?

John,
you've slipped into a metaphysic.
you agree it's hypothetical.
the fact is you are human being.
the ontological domain of the being of human being discloses 'meaning maker'.
that context gets contents.
you are trying to build a consensus on those contents.

Re: Crucifixion
It all depends on how well you get along. It will have to be a group that has mutual respect for one another. It takes time to get to know people well enough to forum a bond of trust and mutual respect.SeekerOfWisdom wrote:I understand the individualistic tendencies of intelligent people, but this can also be a restricting characteristic don't you think?

Dennis I'm not trying to do anything but make an Instant Message version of a forum, and a more collaborative one, with agendas if they can be agreed upon. I have a lot of free time, forums work much more slowly then I would like, and ideal conversation doesn't happen as easily on forums for a number of different reasons.
Yes kunga, I actually used those exact same words while explaining it previously :) There would have to be an outline that clearly states the conversation is about cooperation and openness, opposition and arguments are exactly the traits of an open forum I am trying to avoid.

I think Alex has kinda nailed it.
Your metaphysic is a product.
Your strong suit is pleading.
The pleading gets enrolment in the product.
The pleasure is 'I did it!'
Politics or Amway is a fantastic option for you.

Dennis
Read over your comments on this forum, you spend all your time trying to tell people where they've gone wrong, what they aren't thinking about, why their ideas are faulty, your strong suit is doing that, and making no sense half the time you are doing it, you should be a politician.
What are you trying to get from me? What wisdom do you have in mind that you seem to be trying to make me understand?

Re: Crucifixion
The strong suit 'pleading' is of interest.
Can I have the list of who found it irresistable and who didn't?
right back since you were a kid.
How's it going?
Obama's strong suit is pleading.
I just thought it was an option, politics.

Actual forum postings are often concluding statements. Posted responses are also conclusions, even if they're in interrogative form.SeekerOfWisdom wrote:Dennis I'm not trying to do anything but make an Instant Message version of a forum, and a more collaborative one, with agendas if they can be agreed upon. An alternative approach is an inquiry-dialogue, based on a progression of reasoning in which a premise is followed by mutually agreed postulates that lead to a logical conclusion pertaining to the original premise.
The alternative intent of finding mutually agreed postulates would take some time but would involve less drama.
Re: Crucifixion
Hey Dennis. I like what you wrote about balance and the honestly shared comments about knowing oneself.
Lately the strong feeling has been like I died, and then through some miracle, have returned to life to enjoy the people in my life. This feeling permeates every moment and situation, even when alone and thinking of them. So I end up engaging their attention by taking an interest in the moment we share, and this leads to laughing a lot.

Especially if we can agree not to have any drama until we've come to an agreement on these postulates. Drama is the very thing I want to get rid of.
The forums are good for discussion in philosophy and other matters, but they are the worst for making any kind of real life action.
People on this forum should have figured out they will work better in a collaborative group a long time ago, but maybe it's cause genius is too caught up in being unique.
Interested cahoot? Or do you need an elaborate and detailed reason first?

You are pleading a case aren't you.Makes no sense to me ^
A vision that is plausible and yet hypothetical.
In a court of Inquiry, that's what it amounts to.
For you it seems the Inquiry is over.
Finished on a hypothetical.
What is really going on is 'pleading'.
The act.

Well, learning about oneself involves learning the cause of frustration, which is best learned in a frustrating place rather than a comfortable place.SeekerOfWisdom wrote:Especially if we can agree not to have any drama until we've come to an agreement on these postulates. Re: Crucifixion
Cahoot,
The I love you because I love you, no reason, no agenda, no design in mind, not having a person in mind as a piece of equipment in my game plan.
Sometimes a person will be in breakdown mode or suffering because an aspect of their network crumbled.
It's simply wonderful to provide a listening to that person.
As their story tumbles out they see for themselves their own truth in their own way that they lost sight of.
One dies to oneself when one listens.
It's free and easy.

What about making an effect on others, is it on your agenda to share what you've got?

You have leadership qualities.
Once group is enrolled.
What happens next.

I couldn't care less if the members were atheists, the group isn't about having people of like minded views, its about having cooperation despite opposing views.
The group decides Dennis, my leadership quality has taught me one thing, I don't know how to lead.

I know how to push.
Which I just discovered is the exact answer to the riddle Jesus and Lao Tzu both told: "lead from behind."
Cahoot, one can share more, one can have more of an effect, you might say quality over quantity, but I can disprove that easily...
If it is in your capability, is it your duty to help two kids in front of you from suffering or all of them?
It is in your capability, but not alone.

Re: Crucifixion
You will be called upon to lead.
You will be constantly called upon to fix the situation.
Monitor.
the acts involved,
pleading the case,
enroller,
monitor
what else?
there's this guy Sisyphus who pushed a stone up a hill,
he went to sleep exhausted,
when he woke up,
the stone had rolled back down the hill,
he rolled it back up again,
he went to sleep exhausted,
when he woke up,
the stone had rolled back down the hill,
It's either gonna be like that or it isn't.
Show me how it isn't.
Surprise me.
Make me sit up in wonder about it.
