It can't be properly explained in language and our descriptions will always mean nothing without the related direct experiences. That's why a sentence regarding enlightenment or mystical experience will sound ridiculous to most, and make sense to others.

And I disagree, enlightenment is when your always in enlightened vision mode...you should get what I mean. My perspective is permanently changed since awakening. Vision itself is noticeably different.

Wakefulness, seeing the illusion. Honestly, it means to recognize the miraculous nature of everything and be in awe of it, even the things that make up the "self" like thought.

One can be enlightened simply by accepting within themselves that experience is eternal. Then the worries disappear, and the freedom of being in the present moment arises.

Also I would never start a project on my own, too disinterested/lazy.

Most people are busy with other concerns but I was lucky growing up with friends who let their minds run freely and unafraid. I've met a lot of compatible understandings in books and online, at various forums. Occasionally I meet a soul by chance. There are still major differences in insight or styles possible, so it's a good challenge to start giving that a place and learn about the mind that way. Always go for the things that cannot be disputed, the things which bind even if the other does not always realize. That way one can converse with everyone on this planet, although not always with the same effort.
It seems to me we are all endlessly looking for something, it could be contentment, but even with that I still find myself seeking, maybe for excitement, recognition, praise?
When I was 18, that was nearly all I was looking for. Some affirmation of identity which comes naturally and only after some struggle. I think it should not be resisted that much since it's what you need, so be able to live life - it will all develop by itself. Just occasionally step back and remember.
Anyway we should find the people that do understand and form a strictly enlightened(on the path) group.
While I don't have experience with such grouping I do understand why that looks like a great idea. Somehow the whole "group" thing is complex, perhaps it takes a lot of individuality and independence to get anywhere on the path and those qualities do not group easily. With what I know about group dynamics, it might just not be possible even for the enlightened. There's no " " in team.
I still feel the want to achieve something, to do something of worth or interest, remnants of a narrow way of thinking.
I think you should not put it down too much. It's a powerful engine and you should seek things out the things you think are worthwhile without too much hesitation. You'd be surprised how much can be accomplished. And it will shape you as a person. But it might not matter that much which type of achievement it is, it's your contemporary value system after all.
Maybe it's what we were meant to do? wouldn't it be more beneficial to have smart guys like us leading a group rather then some fool? We can have worthwhile goals that benefit everyone, like extinguishing suffering in others.
You don't know for sure what to do, which is the situation most 18 years old are in although it's often about slightly different things. People desire much of their suffering and then turn around and complain about it. Just addressing it directly will create even more resistance. So one has to operate at times more subtle and insightful, if anything needs to be done at all. In the mean time: know oneself first and foremost. It might take a few more years but I cannot really judge, just talking from my own experiences.

love of wisdom.

that which is called love in my own Inquiry or how I have distinguished it,
the palpable experience in the moment,
a radiating pleasure floods the mind and a lightness of being experienced that opens up a freedom for being in the ordinary everyday world.

When I read these pages, frequently I break through the symbolic representation in language a poster presents and experience that pleasure, lightness of being and an opening up.

Alex opened it up for me on several occasions.
Alex calls that experience 'a drug'.

I'm talking to the cops in order to get him arrested for drug dealing.

Yes, completely caught in desire due to incredible lack of proper education. Yeah maybe talked to a bunch of wise people, some enlightened, some intelligent...

In all the world, everyone has died before us, and we were left here as children. Taught by children, living as children. ( Think truly of the ignorance of individuals)

We are very lucky. Do you understand our potential? What we are?

Although as individuals we are uncertain, we don't act.

Yes, it shines brightly. Nothing is more obvious than what is true and what is not true, once you can look through the dust. Plato, "knowledge is the food of the soul".. we need to go beyond the limits, we have great potential as I was saying.

You haven't provided the curriculum nor given an access to the 'trade secrets' that generate the concepts into experience.

hahah no it's not, the accent is on wisdom and action.

Curriculum and trade secrets later. For now it is to be a group of wise sages... technically if there is going to be a member they should already know.

Is this something like what you want to say:

Go placidly amidst the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its shams, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.[1]

The existentialists or Existential philosophy,
distinguishes 3 domains of knowing,

!. Experiencing or now, now, now, now, now.

2. Then there's an interpretation of what happened then, then, then, then, then.
What happened devolves into a story about what happened
For human being the Story develops into a set of rules which become the reality of human being.
A human being effectively walks around in a conceptual framework that has its basis in the past that sets the future up. That conceptual framework is human beings soliloquoy.
It is not reality, it's just human being reality.
A human being is effectively in a state of resignation where there's no possibility, only hope for a desired outcome.
A case of back to the future as the context.

3. The third domain of knowing has the human accessing a possibility for the future that is not the past.
As a context the human being has stepped out of the past and into a possibility for the future.

In the case of the Wright bros. you can see they 'saw' a possibility for the future that wasn't the past and they got that future.

Where are you coming from John, the past or the future.

Nietschke declared we are Literary philosophers and generated Zarathustra as the new man.

What you've got John is a story about God and religion as your strong suit.
What about creating a religion from the future.
What could be the religion that you could pull out of the future for a bit of fun and a few bucks that turns people around.

You've got that old archetypal pattern going on.
You've got the assembly of Orphalean Sages and the wounded girlfriend ( you are showing her the way).
Jesus had Magdalene and his 12 disciples.
Arthur was looking for the holy grail and had his Guinevere and Knights of the Round Table.

What kind of Messiah or King calls forth from the future?
What qualities are called forth for this archetype?

What's gonna hit the nerve?

Trends are he'd have to be environmentally friendly, computer literate, feminist, on the gaydar, a consensus builder, conciliatory.
A prince of peace or the other?

What does God look like?
Will his character be interventionist/judgemental, an angry, vengeful type?

What will the cost be if the new messiah is denied?
fiery death in a sulphur lake?

Could it be a whole new Story?

I think that was your life advice at first, good work. I have already learn't not to talk unless I feel its necessary. Yeah money screws people up that's why I've had no involvement in it. I realized the only way to be completely content was to not even care the slightest if you had zero. Sadness and all negativity are only imaginings of the mind, you can look around at any moment and say, what is wrong here? What's bad? And the answer is always nothing.

I am always coming from the moment. Although the ideas I am pointing out refer to the future, it is a result of moment boredom. I have long overcome the cloud of past experience, the instant linking of concepts to sensual stimulus.

Nietzsche was an intelligent fool most of the time.

And I'm not sure, it would have to be new, it would have to play on the deep needs/problems occurring in peoples lives.

For example, whether it is intentional or not, the bible plays on the human want for a father, Buddha plays on the shared human problem of suffering.

Yes for there to be a real love of a single person, that is shared by most all the world, that person has to have religious zeal as their main trait.

But that is easy..... for these are not my words, but the words of god.

Dennis, there is something I have learnt early, you might not have even learn it or believed it enough, it is regarding our potential.
We could well be some of the wisest or most intelligent people on this planet. You say do not compare to others, there will always be someone better or worse, but it is only fear to say anything less than "I have the potential of the mind of God, which is infinite."

There is already no doubt in my mind I could write the best religious/spiritual book. Simply by covering every topic thoroughly, linking all the concepts, and making every sentence profound and simple. I could do this already without even having to try and create my own new concepts, simply by using and connecting other peoples profound ideas and thoughts.

If I did spend years perfecting something, I could make it the best.

Like I said, "The power of Now" massive hit, includes, "your frequencies and vibration levels' ( simple minded BullS )

My problem is not that I wont be able to produce something of good enough quality. It's what do I do that will live up to the standard I can produce? A book? A poem? A video?

Nothing seems right, maybe all formats. I wouldn't release it for years obviously. It is quality that matters, not quantity.

The only thing I fear is wasting my time doing the wrong thing, because I am doing it for quality, which means time.

SeekerOfWisdom, writing is one thing but getting it noticed is another. If that would happen by itself, your posts on this forum would already have to draw crowds :)

The often underestimated issue with communicating ideas and concepts is that it purely relies on the degree of mutual understanding and shared concept space, not to mention shared language and reference frame. The more profound and simple you'd write, the more you'd require profoundness and simplicity in the audience. This is how "Power of Now" got popular, as it didn't require much: "simpled minded stuff" for minds who were in the same position as the author (that is a positioning in the "now" and the "present" which most readers will see in the modern light: zero time, delusional directness).

Also, you'd have to make clear how your philosophy deviates from Tolle's ideas, which is right now less clear than you might think!

Exactly, which is really the major problem ahead of us. Although is not impossible at all.

Very true, which is why any concepts will have to be made simple, understandable, but profound and agreeable. Possibly things that everyone one earth sees as common and day to day. Ancient masters used water for this reason.

First of all, Tolle's ideas aren't Tolle's ideas at all, not that I've read the book, just flicked through.

All of us are still basing our fundamental wisdom on the fundamental ancient wisdom ( because truth doesn't change and they were correct).

My philosophy deviates from Tolle's ideas because I know how to think and speak honestly in relation to philosophy.

This is something almost no one on earth has figured out. Tolle, like almost everyone else, is still feigning knowledge. Pretending to know about things he does not know about.

For example: Tolle talking about certain passive people
"Their function is to anchor the frequency of the new consciousness on this planet."

Only wise people know that when they are saying words like frequency, energy, matter, they are using purely provisional words that have no meaning except for what they are relating it to in their minds ( sensual experiences, sight, imagining a little wave, imagining some electricity for energy )

They key to genius is honesty and simplicity. You understand what I mean. It is available to all, almost no one uses it.

A lot of the stuff you speak is powerful and honest and your integrity hits like a ton of bricks John.
Thankyou.

When you speak of boredom and stuff it looks like there's something to fix.
Is there any reason for the mind to be that way.
It can only mean there's a kind of weight on that mind like an unfulfilled desire.
I can't see a real reason why that mind you have leaves the experience of bliss and awe.

A chick called Kim hooked into Tolle and has basically built a corporation around him that is expensive and he has to keep coming up with new scripts.

Reminds me of Osho who took large doses of valium to get that ethereal look and dreamy voice.

No worries. Although these aren't my words remember.

I like to produce and write new things, I'm assuming all of us on here do, and we want them to be of quality. In school we were forced and tested, and it pushed us to continuously work.

Out of school, we know of our potential, but only rarely do we create and with much less vigor than if it were a test or competition. If we can get the mindset that we have to be making something new of quality every day, we would have 30 new pieces in a month, rather than say 5.

This could be part of the curriculum.

It is most probably because of the unused potential and having to constantly spend time with that ant eater at the wildlife park that walks around on bare sand in the same circle ten times looking for food. Lucky we are to have examined ourselves and noticed we are ant eaters, so I can go on to use my time more wisely and run in circles somewhere else.

Bliss and awe when you are outside in nature, maybe when marveling at humans, the mystery and incredible creations, or in good meditation, but when truly aware of the illusion and awake, bliss and awe are much less prominent than boredom and pointlessness. Like I said, I can see that when I change room I am not truly moving, only my sensual experience is changing, so why change rooms? That's boredom. I eat to sate an illusory desire to stay alive in an illusory fleeting world.

The Buddha said something along the lines of, like a fool drinking from the waters of a mirage. Either way we have chosen to live here until the end of here... so, due to the most wise of boredoms, lets beat this virtual reality game...

Unless, do you think that upon excepting death and being non-attached from sensual experience one can truly leave the round of rebirths for any other kind of existence? As the Buddha described.. how did he know? Surely he could not have passed on such knowledge before death?

How about creating from the distinction,

'there's nothing to beat'

does that open up freedom for being.

does 'something for being to beat' drag being into a dogfight or what.

how do you see it?

The unruly negative mind. What enlighteneth me/? The brooks and streams of the mindfulness when I was only three. My mother said to me. She said nothing, really!!! I said to the sky, " If only I could touch that dream...yet I am no dreamer.!" Imagine that dream canst be real. Without the folklore of chess pieces scattered all over the floor. The dream became as big as the universe. There was no Buddha. Only, death on it's wings.
I WAS FRIGHTENED. The flight of the phoenix wasn't there. Cigarettes. A minx. Nothing stood in my way. For, I had no cares,I was only three.
My mother and father were papal. My thoughts of home. My cries years later. You were there. You were all there. Except it!

Buddha taught about freedom for being.
That's all he talked about.

this 'something to beat' you have, you are giving it absolute existence, inherent existence.
it exists only in dependence on your mind imputing it to have real existence.
if it exists it is of the nature dependent arising.

it is empty, depends on thinker/thought for solidity.

creating from the distinction,
nothing to fix, nothing to beat opens up a future, a possibility for being,
freedom.

if it exists it is causes/conditions,
the chief cause for loss of freedom is imputing inherent existence on that which exists.

Take 10 minutes off your agenda of saving the world please and show me how imputing absolute existence on phenomena might just disturb the peace a little.
