Human Longevity

Post by Foresta Gump »

How long has humans been on earth for?

As a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church, we believe humans have only occupied earth for 6000 years.

My thoughts on this subject go with the assumption.

If humans were here longer we would be more mentally developed than we are. People are not mentally developed until they reach their potential and that can be any age depending how much you fill your head with. The more you fill your head with knowledge, the more developed the brain becomes.

Older people aren't necessarily brain developed, they may never have filled their heads with information. Ignorance is damaging. As we age we develop some, more naturally, some more than others, at different levels.

The ones who have an advantage are the educated, who continue their studies through a lifetime, always developing their brain. Some people not school educated continuously educate themselves because they feel a need to.

The ones who helps this progression along, are the ones who've developed their thinking, so by the time they are older they are smarter than everyone else.

Educated brains are developed to a degree, but, not to full potential. We only use a small portion of our brains, if we were to use all of our brains we likely would be insane.

6000 years ago people were different, they were different 20 years ago. Development comes with technology knowledge. Back in that time, it took thousands of men to work together to build construction, their technology was good, but it is better today because of brain development.

We are living in an age where our development is increasing rapidly, and we've only developed in the past 100 years. So even 6000 years seems like a long time that we humans occupied earth.

An Adventist writing about mental development. It's like an irony grenade sitting in my brain with the pin rattling like crazy.

Foresta Gump,
"Stupid is as stupid does."
You display a mind boggling degree of stupidity in the ridiculous religious belief that human-kind is only 6000 yrs old.

You ignore a mountain of scientific proof (not just "evidence") to the contrary and cling to the biblical mythology of the "begatting" of the generations in... what was it... Genesis.

You are in the wrong forum here. Find a forum of equally stupid religious fanatics who ignore the facts and cling to absurd dogmas like the above. Then just sing "praise the lord" together and stay content in oblivious ignorance.
God bless you! (No, I don't "believe in" God. I *know* God as our true Identity.)
Hope you awaken out of infantile cult-belief and denial of science soon.

Foresta Gump is not as stupid as she appears to be at times. But, yes she does ignor scientists, unless there is actual proof!

Mike,

This Foresta Gump (Donna Thompson), seems to have some/several split-personality issues going on..

One never knows which one is going to show up - here.

Tomas, if Gump had several split personalities going on here, wouldn't she sound like it?

Wouldn't she sound deluded, or deranged?
