I recently found an interesting site called stromfront.org, which declares itself to be a forum for white nationalists. I searched it for a bit in order to see what their opinions are about various things. I found this thread about women:

I was expecting to find a conservative stance on women, but quite surprisingly, that wasn't the case. The plethora of views about women you'd find anywhere else were present there too. I found it quite amusing that people who belong to a site which would ban someone who identifies as a Jew could have such liberal views about anything.

Anyways, most of the posts on that thread were by women, or at least seemed to be(because I couldn't tell clearly from the names). The usual views you'd expect to find from women about themselves were there, from being feminine and subservient to men, to being feminine and independent, et al.

I guess the conclusion I came to after reading the site is that people will entertain a view/opinion only to the degree that they think brings them happiness and security. The logicality of opinions don't matter to almost everyone. What this leads to is a ridiculous assortment of different contradicting views, often about the same thing, existing in a single person(for examples of this, just check out that thread itself.) And what that leads to is insanity.

True. Most people are quite intellectually selfish - they believe what they want to believe rather than what makes sense or is best for everyone.

Almost all do it for some type of ego reward.
