Liberation
Re: Liberation
True. "Transcendence" is already here, disguised and revealed as duality. Nirvana is samsara, samsara is nirvana. Nagarjuna said that, and dialectical monism says it as well.

It's oxymoronic to talk about something like "transcendental consciousness," because you're attaching a concept (consciousness) that which transcends conceptualization. For that reason, it becomes superstition, as Neil correctly points out.
You are the one "attaching a concept" or treating transcendence as just a concept.
Mystics of all traditions (and of no tradition, such as this one) find the same Reality after awakening. It ain't the concept. Its awareness itself one finds as universal identity... *not the stuff we are aware of*... as I've already said.
I don't know how to say it any more clearly.
And, yes, it has totally transformed this life...
The result is compassionate transcendence... a paradox for sure, but universal love and what Merrell-Wolff calls the "high inderference" are simultaneous and ongoing.
This is a living reality for me. Those who can't grok it are simply stuck in egocentric mode without the benefit of this transcendental "imperience."
It IS what spiritual seekers seek.
And, as I said, it is exactly like waking from a dream... the dream of egocentric identity... which is illusory. Witty philosophical arguments notwithstanding, everyone who has really awakened, in this classical sense, knows that life before it was a dream, just as surely as waking from a nightmare with a heartfelt sigh of sincere relief.
I think I'm done here.... casting seeds on hard ground is pointless.

People who come to GF with the dream of spreading their own gospel often leave.I think I'm done here.... casting seeds on hard ground is pointless.

But never before informing opponents that they "just don't get it" and the like.

Just a loose end here on this thread...

Awareness transcends conceptualization. Concepts are part of what awareness is aware of. In this context awareness is synonymous with consciousness, which transcends content, as above.
The contemplation leading to this realization is "What is awareness itself?... Who is aware?" The obsession with concepts, content of consciousness, leads to confusion as in the replies above.
