We get an answer to why feminity is so dominant in everyone. Apparently, the answer is too much soy
Oh what fun it is to see what Christians come up with given a little bad science and a lot of fear...

The belief that men are more violent than women may mean children get testosterone vaccinations in future. "A bit of hormone adjustment should keep 'em down."

Re: At long last
I doubt it.
The foggier the mind, the more sensual. And the less masculine abstraction, the more limited the intellectual vocabulary. These two elements together create need of touching and ritual. Hence: sexuality and bondage, the cornerstones of femininity.
Ugh!

Yup, but testosterone causes an enhansed libido... and the frequency of errections. So we'd actually have a bunch of touchy feely and frustrated kids who can't have sex.Kelly Jones wrote:I doubt it.

Re: At long last
Sorry, "vaccination" was the wrong idea. I should have written "testosterone-destroying medication" or "estrogen-boosting medication".
I hope that makes my point clear.
I'm wondering what you intend to convey with your avatar, Katy?

As to the user pic, it comes from a TV show from 1993. The woman involved is a very intelligent woman a doctor on a navy ship and such, who gets posessed by a ghost and starts playing out the last days of this ghosts life - including putting on the ghost's wedding dress and dancing like she was at her wedding. At the end of the episode, she gets unposessed looks at herself and goes "WTF?! This isn't me!!"
The quotation on the avatar is from a musical. It is a girl who starts out lamenting the fact that she isn't, and will never be the typical female that the boys want to be with. She's not blond, pretty or stupid. It starts out lamenting the fact, but is also the turning point in the show where she realizes that she can't live the traditional life that most people want and she has to follow the facts and beliefs that she has and live unconventionally, and in fact fight against absolutely everything that society stands for.
So the point is that although most of our ghosts aren't literal ghosts that are taking over our bodies, everyone has the tendency to fall from the rational POV into "that girl" unless we fight it. Realizing that is not who we are is the first step towards being able to change it.
