Using URL Tags

Post by Dan Rowden »

Hello everyone,

I'd just like to remind everyone, preferably before I'm driven to total madness, that when posting long URLs to use the correct tags so that it doesn't create a horizontal scroll bar in threads. If the url word wraps in the edit window, it is too long and the [url=] tag should be used:

[url=web address]description[ /url] (without the space which I had to insert to stop it formatting)

The format can be seen at any time by passing the cursor (the thing that goes fuck, bum, shit, damn) over the "url" box in the edit window.

Thanking you in anticipation of compliance, but holding a spiked club in anticipation of non-compliance.

If the link I posted was the cause of this, I apologize. I use a really high resolution, so it'd take a freakishly long url to cause the need for a scroll bar on my window. It completely slipped my mind that other folks could be running at lower resolutions.

It's not your fault. A few people have been doing it and it may well be just a case of what you said about resolutions and so forth.
