What could you teach a caveman?

Post by Pincho Paxton »

Presuming that the egg, and sperm that created you were implanted into a Homo Sapien cavewoman, do you think that the brain has advanced enough to make a difference?

I am basically asking if our intelligence has evoled at all, or are we just learning everything at school?

For example. You grow up with a group of cavemen, you do what they do, but do you invent the wheel?

Would you make a difference to their lifestyle?

Or is the evolution of intelligence just the evolution of technology being fed to us.

And could Einstein make a difference to the caveman population.

Personally, I think that it takes a genius like Einstein to make a difference to any population, and therefore only a genius is an evolved human. All other humans have not evolved at all. Look at humans that have been brought up by dogs for example.

Generally speaking, tribal cultures do not tolerate eccentrics - unless they are witch-doctors or the like.

Anyone with genius is likely to be either killed or expelled from the tribe.

That's not good for evolution then is it. We might have been even more intelligent in the past than we are today.

Wikipedia says that
Cro-Magnons lived from about 40,000 to 10,000 years ago in the Upper Paleolithic period of the Pleistocene epoch. Cro-Magnon were anatomically modern, only differing from their modern day descendants in Europe by their more robust physiology and slightly larger cranial capacity.
The rest is culture, which took a long time to develop. You can only work with what you've got.

Cranial capacity suggests skull cavity I presume. But I also presume that Einstein's skull cavity is no different to another man's skull cavity even though his brain had more sensors (whetever they are called). Therefore skull cavity does not really tell you the whole story of intelligence.

This link is very interesting. Is your brain really necessary....

Although the references are not really identified. It could be a hoax.

I watched Albert Einstein play chess against Robert Oppenheimer on the internet and at one time in the game i saw why he is a genius.

Re: What could you teach a caveman
I would teach the caveman to learn by himself if i could only teach him once.

The humans can't evolve and still be humans as if a human evolves he evolves into another race. For example the ape race evolved into the human race. I beg you to prove me wrong, i am thirsty!

I rarely speculate, it's not my style really. I don't know what we would evolve into.

Your guess is as good as mine. Have you heard of this, what do you think:

I am basically asking if our intelligence has evoled at all, or are we just learning everything at school?
So you're asking about potential? [Keep in mind, evolution takes millions and millions of years.]
And could Einstein make a difference to the caveman population.
Who knows? Nature vs Nurture, or both...Most people think it's both, so again your guess is as good as mine.

Are you certain that this is true? If so, very interesting.

What if Einstein was brought up by dogs?
