The bridge between realms
When a man defines, for himself, what "that" is, there is the experience of "I got it!" or "Yes!", the exclamation marks used here to symbolize the bliss of the "eureka" experience of an expanding realization.
On the mental realm, such realizations are infinite in essence, but finite in substance. In other words, a man can find endless causes or reasons for his analysis of material form [its essence], but at the core of these causes or reasons is the finite principle or substance, that of logic.
What I have discovered is that once the substance or principle of an essence has been realized, that the desire to explore its essence begins to wane. In this realm, the common denominator of both emotionalism and rationalism is sense awareness, which for me, begs the question: when both emotionalism and rationalism no longer appeals or attracts, when the senses no longer feed the need for consciousness expansion, what then is the "next ordered step" on the ladder of consciousness expansion?
I put forward that the next ordered step is the formation of a bridge between the sense realm and the next realm that is formed of words that do not produce an image [matter]. Word that allow a man to both release his attachment to image and be prepared for movement into the next realm of I am realization. Living metaphors such that Jesus and Gautama used, words such as "the Christ" and "Buddha nature."
The emotional realm of image attachment is a fullness of eternity or time, as is the mental realm of image attachment a fullness of eternity or time...how many eternities are there in infinity?...an infinity of eternities...

Re: The bridge between realms
This which you have described is what is attributed to be physical death. The next ordered step is to bridge the gap between such an event being able to occur in the physical realm. This can only be done by working from the non-physical consciousness to eliminate the thought of death from physical thought.the question: when both emotionalism and rationalism no longer appeals or attracts, when the senses no longer feed the need for consciousness expansion, what then is the "next ordered step" on the ladder of consciousness expansion?
the next ordered step is the formation of a bridge between the sense realm and the next realm that is formed of words that do not produce an image [matter].
This bridge is the awareness of continuum of the never ending thought. It is this awareness which allows the erasing of the image of death and align the thought of death to the invisible principle, pattern, and law of the Spirit of life.

Re: The bridge between realms
It comes down to having the wisdom that consciousness or life is about expansion. And that if an individual rests on this truth, their thoughts will express this wisdom.
Logic expands a man beyond emotion, as emotion expanded a man beyond his animal instincts, and his animals instincts expanded him beyond his single cell existence. What then awaits for a man's discovery beyond his present 'step on the ladder of expansion' of logic and reason? How will he know if he doesn't lift one foot of the step of logic so that he can provide an opening in his veil of sense imaging so that what is pushing to 'breakthrough' beyond causal analysis can indeed, breakthrough?
How can a man say he is a man of the infinite if he restricts the infinite in himself to a particular expression of his infinity?

Beyond 'to' survive and 'to' care and 'to' differentiate about what is worth caring about is being alive being caring, being differentiating, I am That.
Being at one with the infinity of you means you have to cease identifying with your finiteness. Such a leap of consciousness requires absolute faith and trust that the infinite God of you will always know what to say/what to do in every moment of being aware. Such deep trust and faith in the moment does not come easily; it is a gradual process of letting go of conditioned human values and judgments, in other words, the rational-causal dependent mind. Ergo, the 'building' of the bridge of thought between logical consciousness and spirit consciousness, a bridge that addresses only the process of letting go of "my will" [my perceived reason for living] so "thy will be done" [living without a reason].
From my experience, this process involves the removing of the personality from the consciousness so that one can be a channel for thought as it was originally created/intended, that is, being an impersonal expression of life or God Itself. Where personhood exists, expansion is limited and at times, halted completely; where personhood does not exist, expansion has no restrictions and is movingalways...:-)

Re: The bridge between realms
One's personhood identifications are located in the function memory.
One carries one's pictures of oneself and others out of the past into the present to create one's future.
things to avoid and things to hold dear.
Memories are one's objects of familiarity that provide one with a means of getting by in a scary world of change.
Memories tell one 'how it was' which gives an automatic 'how it is' and 'how it will be'.
The 'how it was, how it is and how it will be' of memory for the most part is deluded.
Is the 'how' of your process concerning itself with a rational understanding of memory?

Re: The bridge between realms
By a rational understanding of memory, do you mean the understanding that depending on memories is to depend on what was and not on what is? If that is your understanding, and an individual has chosen to live in the thinking now and not in thoughts of 'then' or 'when', then calling forth memories is something that would have to be relinquished. Is the 'how' of your process concerning itself with a rational understanding of memory?

Re: The bridge between realms
A rational understanding of memory would be recognising what memory is.
It's useful in that you don't have to relearn how to open a door every time you confront doors or relearn 1+1=2 over and over.
Your argument is to identify as Infinite Self, True Identity.
Cultural Identities have to be understood as false and relinquished.
Id's like nationality,
race,
religion,
social status,
all those adjectives and adverbs that place one as a fixed entity in a fixed Worldhood.
Getting up every morning to face the World so fixedly is a cause of suffering.
If we can postulate enlightenment as being:
'happy despite conditions'
and memory is conditions.
and memory is often painful.
the smart way to deal with memory is to detach from it as a reliable instrument of explanation for 'how it was, is or will be'.
after all memory is an object in the field of awareness.
awareness looks at it, holds it, hangs on to it, keeps it, judges with it, lives by it and can vanish it..
memory isn't awareness.
memory is often awareness hijacked.
when I say understood/relinquished I mean as lacking inherent existence.

Re: The bridge between realms
Getting up every morning and having to find a way to fill one's belly is a cause of suffering. We use memory to end this suffering. We call forth images of toast, of cereal, of fruit or of gummi bears, whatever is our pleasure that ends our pain of being hungry.
Memory is unavoidable in the realm of being caused to suffer our awareness of pain and of death. All we can do is eliminate the memories that are cluttering up our consciousness, going as far with the cleaning of our memory house that we are willing to go, right here, right now.

Is there an 'I' there that has to endure/suffer hunger, eating, urinating, defecating..
do these things just happen?
causes/conditions.

They are causes/conditions of sentience of something that, of itself, is without cause or sentience. This wisdom is all a man has to, hopefully, save him from eternally being caused. Any I that is used to refer to either consciousness is for convenience of conversation.Dennis Mahar wrote:Is there an 'I' there that has to endure/suffer hunger, eating, urinating, defecating..

We could turn to explaining how 'I' is refuted.

This is useless in the fact that man is 'moving always..." Once, the prajectile man is moving always, his assumptions beguile him. He is therefore useless in his hemoglobin.

Without the trojectory side of himself, man, is usless. Hence, we do things to adapt. My mother is what she is inside of me. I take it that man is a theologian all over again.

Never give power to anything a person believes is their source of strength - jufaMemories are the life stretching force which resurrect feelings of the dead. Feelings are kept alive by remembering the pains and pleasures of yesterday. And remembering activates memory which gives visions of how, what, when, where, and why actions must be taken in order to deal with those conditions, situations, and circumstance of pain and pleasure tomorrow. - jufa

You can't agree. You're refuted.I agree.
Where am I?
Nowhere.
Who am I?
No one.
What makes me think this is me?
Nothing makes me think this.
When am I?
I’m not.

Jufa,

" All things exist beyond the line of identification except in the human mind" -jufa wrote this.
So, to clarify that this existence is not aware of itself. Or, the orifice. One can call out loud in a classroom "1+1=2" but if it's not for clarifications sake it is drawn down to numbers. The christian theologian will argue this matter as a matter of 'God's Will' as such in the book of Numbers. What is clarified is that blood[x] x h2o[Y] is the gadget to freedom[X]. Xy=X. Or, for the orifice sake. Y. Why?
I am delineate bastard who throws around words. But, the orifce is "One." What is God? XY? "See to it that all numbers really on the number line"X." Xerxes.
