Since you're new here, too; be advised that there are ALOT of really stupid people on this forum. So far, with some very notable exceptions (both male and female), it seems to be a vomitorium for moronic and aggressive teenagers, to vent their hostility and play out their delusions.

The exceptions know who they are. They haven't entered into and especially haven't tried to justify the outrageously immature behavior that the original question pertained to.
Lot's of labeling and not much consideration of the actual content of other people's arguments. The offenders are probably young, though, ironically it seems that some of the defenders of the offenders are older.

It's really amazing, isn't it? It's time to put the past to sleep, now.

beebuddy,

For a second, I thought you were referring to the post that you had quoted, since it was filled will labels and no consideration of anyone's actual arguments. Then I read your next sentence, and for another moment I gave you the benefit of the doubt and wondered if you were being ironical.

Then it hit me: you have taken sides! Isn't that cute?

By the way, you haven't yet given a single example of my alleged delusion. You said there was evidence. Where is it? Or were you lying? I wouldn't be surprised. People who take sides often are forced to lie.

Trevor,

This statement wasn't directly in reference to any of your posts. I stopped reading them for the most part.

As to the delusion nonsense, read the response to "Elizabeth."

You said there was evidence of delusion. You lied. I don't care if you don't read me because I'm an asshole, or my writing style annoys you, but if you say I'm delusional, or deluded in any way, you sure as hell better be able to back that up.

Yes, I take offense at it. Being both bipolar and a philosopher, and hence intimately familiar with delusions from both sides of the spectrum, I know the magnitude of the claim. It is literally telling someone that they cannot tell the difference between true and false. I can. I did not make a single claim that was untrue. I corrected someone who knows shit-all about fallacies.

So in the future, you lying punk, don't make any claims that you can't back up.

Yes, it's incredibly funny that you lied. I'm rolling on the floor laughing here.

What the hell are you doing in a philosophy forum?

Your DELUSION is the belief that Argumentum Ad Hominem has to do with an "irrelevant known fact of another person's life".

A delusion is a belief held that is false. The purpose of the original post was to mention that pointing out someone's delusion is NOT a personal attack. If you take it that way it is your error.

The fact is is that 'Kow' is correct. The real question is what YOU are doing on a philosophy board if you are incapable of dispassionate debate.

There was no intention to berate you, but seeing as it seems to be one of your favorite tactics (on the internet no less, where being a 'tough guy' is obviously too overwhelming a temptation for the weak) I won't be engaging with you very much if at all.

Isn't it kind of interesting that beebuddy shows up not long after Kow could certainly use a friend to come in and sting some of her opponents for her, and suddenly pairs up - or should I say "buddies up" with kow.

It could just be my PTSD acting up again, but I suspect that beebuddy is an alter ego for kow.

Yeppers, I did not accuse you of getting any actual help; I suspected that beebuddy is you under a different name.

And if you believed it, it would be a delusion. :)

bee,

Here's the deal. We syncronize our watches and each post on a different thread, at the exact same time. :) Then Liz will owe us a big one.

Nah, that would be too nice. Besides it's fun to let her think we are talking to ourselves. Did I say that right? hehe

kow writes "kow is nice" and bee tries to refute it with something like "I (bee) am mean." looks like you got confused which user name you were under when you were posting what.

You are very confused. What you just wrote doesn't make a lick of sense. Not to mention your suspicion is incorrect.

Kow wrote that he is nice, and I wrote that he can't be me because I am mean. It's silly, but perfectly logical and in no way points to us being the same person. He is nice, I am mean, therefore we are not the same person.

Take it to the admin's or drop it. Unless of course you are just doing this because you have a crush on 'Kow.' It's been known to happen, wacky as it seems. :)

You two girls write a lot alike, too.

And I don't need to go running to an admin just because you said to.
