Intro to Woman

Post by Steven Coyle »

Today at University:

Sitting on the steps, tending to my cigarette - when out of nowhere, a rather charming young women takes a seat beside me. She begins our conversation with an analysis of my growing beard. She says, "Women don't like men with beards because their super-ego hasn't achieved consciousness ... If I could grow a beard I would." I agreed, and it dawned on me that a rather fundamental truth had been raised: This woman was attracted to her own idealized super-ego.

It makes sense that the majority of women, (and men) are really only attracted to their own ego - the breeding ground in which misunderstanding and turmoil between the sexes arises. As an escape from misunderstanding and turmoil, egotists blindly seek refuge within their own objectified ego -- leading to perpetual oblivion.

What made the encounter all the more intriguing, was her near clarion recitation of what I had previously written on Genius Forum. (The internal separation (acute humility) of the Jewish religion). Made me go "Hmm..."

But, damn, could she talk.

Though, in retrospect, she was only talking to her shoes.

Steven,

Here's what I think happened. A woman at your university found something attractive about you, so she found out your name, went to google and typed "Steven Coyle" into the search engine. Lo and behold - here is everything you think. All she (or anyone else) has to do to at least appear to think like you do (and therefore be intellectually attractive to you) is parrot out some of the views you hold. When posting your full name on a discussion board, please keep in mind all of the implications of that.

Now this may be going a step too far, but it is not unfathomable. Her expression of "would grow a beard if she could" sparked this possibility in my mind: She could have looked at some other posts, followed the threads over to The Big View, from which she could have followed a link to The Enlightened Boxer Shorters" and read this essay:

Acute humility of the jewish religion? That's pretty funny. They believe they are are the chosen people and are to become a nation of priests to spread the noahide laws all around the globe, creating a global theocracy. Google "noahide" and gasp at the horror.

I doubt it.

Another guy (an obvious friend) came up and hugged her, and she gave the same sort of response.

I think she was able to read my reaction to our discussion on God (which included the Jewish faith), and quickly processed an idenical reply. A form of psychological projection.

I also think she was just insanely outgoing.

Well, that [castrating me in front of hot coeds] might improve your perception of my libido, but I'd rather prefer a cup of tea.

Psychology. But I work in I.T. Psychology has the easiest classes. But ya gotta go for higher education to do anything with it. I didn't really think that through. What are you studying?

Graphic Design.

Not sure if that's what I want to do when I finally graduate.

I think, ultimately, I want a job with low maintenance -- so I can give my mind room to expand.

Just be cognizant of the fact that graphic design takes place MOSTLY in the context of a marketing campaign, so if you want to control your own destiny, study that too.

Hey, I went there too.
Though I eventually got sick of the fact that I had more TAs and random people off the street teaching than real professors and transfered down to Georgia Southern.

Downtown is OK, but I prefer the actual campus down here. :)
