My UFO encounter (with photo)

Post by unwise »

I was hunting through old photos lost on CDs today. I found my stash of UFO pics I took during an encounter at Mt. Rainier.

I've never posted it on line. Of course, this digital version is hardly as clear as the large photo I have at my home. The original picture was shot with real film in my nice Leica camera, so it came out pretty clearly.

The date was July 26, 1996. As you can see, a sunny, Summer day at Mt. Rainier where my girlfriend (pictured) and I took the day off for a hike in the mountains.

This photo here was not the really good encounter. That came before this was taken. About twenty minutes before this shot, we were on the top of a plateau with about 12 other hikers - mostly Japanese tourists. Up there we saw a large, rectangular shiny object that hovered before us for about 30 minutes. This object was about the size of your little finger nail held at arm's length. I had binocs, so I gazed at it for detail. It had a very shiny and wave-like shimmer to it. But it was definitely rectangular from my angle with round brighter lights on each side. It was the color of the sun. The sun was overhead and there were no clouds. We were standing at 3500 feet and the object was at eye level over a valley in front of us.

Everyone there saw the object and looked at it with binocs. I had my camera but did not even think about taking a photo. I don't know why. Now, it was very peaceful and no one was worried. Although it was windy, the object did not move at all. After 30 minutes it slowly moved off away from us. I read years later that one of American's only crop circles appeared in a town called Chehelis which is about 50 miles from here - on that day. I read that in a UFO magazine.

We sat on a rock and ate lunch while watching. I felt as if someone was communicating to me. Not in words, but I could feel thoughts. They were positive good thoughts. Here is what I 'heard:' That the world was going to go through a great change politically, environmentally etc. A shake up of the 'old order.' A 'new order' was coming soon. (I consider the old order to be the christian/muslim/jewish one god cult).

I not only had something to do with the new change, but I was ONE OF THEM. I had been with them in another life and had been born here at this time to live here to witness the changes and 'meditate' the changes into reality. Also, there was something happening on the SUN that would change the weather here. It was coming from the sun. AND, that more info would soon be given to me - or, more of a 'remembering.' That's it.

Now, that was cool. A spiritual experience. We walked down alone on a path and came to the spot where the photo below was shot. I took this photo because the sky was a very strange color. We didn't see UFOs or anything else. I felt funny. 'Lit up.' I took this shot of my girlfriend looking at the odd colors (that do not show on the film.) When I had this picture developed, I didn't see the odd colors, but instead saw a UFO on the upper left corner. This object was round and moving rapidly. We did not see a plane or bird when we shot this. Heard nothing. There were no birds in the area at all and they wouldn't even be seen at this range. A jet we would have heard or noticed.

When I took the photo back to have it enlarged and looked at by experts at the pro photo lab (really, for pro photographers), the guy said that it was a real object in the sky and not on my film. He said it was also clearly moving as it was blurred with movement, but it was moving very fast to look like that at a high shutter speed.

Well, I thought that was great. We were in fact surrounded by an armada of ufos that day.

Here's the only photo I took:

Photo

Within a couple weeks of this experience, I found myself obsessed with both the Billy Meier case (famous UFO encounter case with aliens from a parallel universe) as well as Hindu spirituality - in particular, advaita vedanta - the high Eastern philosophy of nondualism and enlightenment. This led to other things and other people that would make an interesting story. One of them didn't seem to be a regular human. To make that story very short, my view of reality took a very dramatic turn within a year of this experience.

I don't know if this experience bred the sort of contempt I have of earthlings and their world, but it probably helped. Earthlings seem to think they each have a soul. I don't think that way at all. I only see one soul that everyone is plugged into. I didn't see that before. Like I say, a new order is coming.

They're all so interesting that it would never occur to me to take a photo of one of them.

Last night in the twilight gloom
A butterfly flew into my room.
Oh what beauty!
Oh what grace!
Who needs visitors from outer space?

I understand completely Unwise, Don’t listen to them! They’re just jealous, here is the photo I captured of my alien encounter.

I'd like to point out the obvious mistake of Unwise to interpret the unexpected blur on his picture as having anything to do with the other phenomenons he witnessed that day. No reason to do that, logically - too much chance in such game. Unless he made a whole series but that is not stated.

Another mistake is trying to get subtle atmospheric coloring on film with such high shutter speed. Often doesn't fly - either.

The thing is, if it really was a UFO, so what? (I think that's what David was saying) I find it kind of interesting how only people that have a certain type of personality seem to be seeing UFOs...the type of people that are obsessed with mysteries and conspiracies, to the point where they'd throw away any rational thought for just a bit of that emotional rush. The rest of the people in the world are somehow blinded to things, like UFOs.

I'm not going to deny that it's a UFO. I don't really know if it is, and there's absolutely no way to tell from what's given here.

Great philosophers and enlightened men like Siddhartha and Shankara spoke of both nonduality and duality. Of a self and a nonself. Of a void and a material world. Of this earth and billions of earths. Of gods, ghosts, spirits, aliens and demons. Of worship of dieties to worship of oneself. It is all happening. It is all reality. There are many levels far beyond your imagination and view. Your narrow view is similar to the expansive life my cats experience in my house. Yet you mock entire areas of your mind and world - areas of yourself. You mock me; but I am you.

If your mind was expanded at all, you would be visited by gods. Even Jung would tell you that. How can you be enlightened if you are not touched by gods? The fact that you see nothing and experience nothing and think that you are seeing all that is worth seeing is pretty grim.

One note on the piano is the piano. But that note does not sound the same as Clair de Lune which also comes from the piano. A god is not the same as your neighbor, neither is a dragonfly comparable to an actual god, despite its divine beauty and grace.

When you meet a god, your mind will not remain the same. And, it will not be comprehensible to others. This is how you know your mind is no longer human. My cat does not comprehend my mind, but I comprehend his.

At least you believe you do, but in reality you have no idea of knowing whether the cat is sitting there thinking "i hate this psycho!"

I've been seeing these dragonflies two of them flying together. Animal porn?

The only things which are truly deserving of god-status are the authentic thoughts and lines of reasoning which awaken the mind to the nature of Reality. They are like angels from heaven which can guide us.

But you do have to grow out of the fairy-tale mentality before you can become aware of these thoughts.

Good topic.

I've a doozie to relate. It occurred November 1964, the day after the Goldwater-Johnson prez election.

Actually the data I've seen from various government research (Condon report and so on) show UFO sightings are mostly reported by very plain people, often professionals, with not any background in the topics of 'mystery' and 'conspiracies'.

But reporting an unidentified object in the sky is one thing, the world still holds many mysteries, but to interpret the sensation of wonder as some spiritual event and starting to hear 'messages' is yet another. Some personality types will hijack any experience to turn it into some 'scalp' to wear.

You mean to say it remains unidentified, in other words: a U.F.O. ;)

Tomas, what happened to you?

If it involves Vietnam, there are MANY really interesting sightings reported by soldiers in Vietnam. Is this where you were? There are also many credible sightings at nuclear facilities where many witnesses see the same craft. They seem to be very interested in secret basis that store missiles.

This is because most UFOs are military aircraft used by western countries like the US to spy on countries they fear; Nothing mysterious.

'Nonself' doesn't have an 'a' in front of it and duality is an illusion.

My mind may not be "expanded" yet, but I am more than open to receiving such expansion.

By the way, you really shouldn't interpret Siddhartha with Shankara. They are two completely different people who may have disagreed. It's not as if they are both representatives of the same thought, even though they may be representatives of the same enlightenment.

Also, it's logically impossible for there to both exist duality and nonduality. Isn't it funny why some people hold on so fiercely to paradoxes. I was reading one of those "how to pick up girls" books once, and it said that women love those sorts of things, whereas men like straightforward and unconfusing things.

It's not that the women have expanded minds, but that they are addicted to the emotions they get while being confused. They feel free.

Yes you're right. When I posted that, I kind of regretted it because I didn't know how to properly express what you're saying here. I was short on time.

Ha! Yep.

The human brain runs in ruts. It is controlled by old programs and is not capable of the great leaps I am talking about. The great denial of the paranormal, ultra logical realms I see at this site is an example of a rut.

The brain must be physically altered by a true guru or advanced being (alien), or god - which is the same thing. In the past this has been called 'transmission' 'initiation' or 'darshan.' There is no other method.

You can't find a guru from the Sears Catalogue and find 'enlightenment' by lessons from the book he sells or his on-line put downs and pontifications.

The "paranormal" is really just a form of the normal. There is nothing inherently special about it. Savages regard electric light as "paranormal", yet we dismiss it as mundane.

You are allowing your current ignorance of "paranormal" activity to sway your philosophical outlook, which is short-sighted.

The brain must be physically altered by a true guru or advanced being (alien), or god - which is the same thing. In the past this has been called 'transmission' 'initiation' or 'darshan.' There is no other method.
If you need an external source to advance your spiritual development, then it indicates there is something lacking inside you.

The will and means to enlightenment can only come from inside yourself.

You can't find a guru from the Sears Catalogue and find 'enlightenment' by lessons from the book he sells or his on-line put downs and pontifications.

If a Sears catalogue contains true thoughts, then it can indeed stimulate the mind and help you seek enlightenment. But you do have to get beyond the fairy-tale mentality which desires to be rescued by a saviour. You have to take responsibility for your own development.

But we are all one Being. What is outside ourselves is also ourselves. Whether we enter Reality through the front door or the back door is irrelevant, just so long as one gets entirely inside.
David Quinn wrote:The will and means to enlightenment can only come from inside yourself.
It must come from inside one's self, but it can't come exclusivly from inside one's self.

I find it likely that the sentiment of what he perceived was true, but the external events merely triggered the opening of the gate of internal truth, which arrived to him symbolically, as in a waking dream.

Possibly similar to Kevin's experience of "hearing" a voice with an American accent. It's just that for unwise, an external event triggered the floodgates in his mind, and he did a waking dream-like association.

It does look fairy-tale like, but that's what the back door to Reality looks like. He perceived that he was one of them - we are all One. There are changes coming - when you bring it down to mundane reality, that can be observed with a "no-duh" observation. We are here to observe the changes that take place in our lifespan. Again, no kidding. Anything perceived directly from Reality can be an overwhelming experience. It sounds like this was just his first contact with Reality. With practice, he'll shake off the dream-like overtones.
