Esther Vilar the author of the boor The Manipulated Man believed that a woman's demand in life is material, never intellectual.
This makes sense if women identify with the object rather than the subject.
This seems to fly in the face of the pop culture media portrayal of men and current university enrolment statistics which show women enrolling at a greater rate and currently having a high level of education.
I think women's motivation to be educated maybe different to men's, perhaps driven by the desire to survive rather than a pure intellectual pursuit.
What are your thoughts.

Difference in need
Re: Difference in need
Well, my dream was to be a starving artist. lol
I never thought about how much money I would make,
I was always motivated by what I loved,
and that was art, creative writing, and theatre.
