Would you rather?

Post by Doggy »

Would you rather,

-Know every word in the dictionary by heart and its full meaning
or
-Solve every unknown Law/Theory of Physics/Mathematics

Would you rather,

-Be in control of a universe but be an invisible unknown entity
or
-Be at the mercy of events in a universe and be some form of visible life

Would you rather,

-Be able to travel at the speed of light
or
-Be able to travel through time

Would you rather,

-Have the ability to fly
or
-Have the ability to travel through solid objects

Would you rather,

-Live forever
or
-Be an inanimate object

Would you rather,

-Have a prestigious reputation around the world as the smartest person in history
or
-Be King or Leader of Earth

In each of the 'would you rathers' it gives you two options to choose from, but in this thread each of the two options is the same except for the first one which is the one I am most curios to which you would rather choose from.

Neither---learn and understand what I deem necessary.

Neither---adapt to natural events and survive them.

Neither---travel using only my feet, walking or running, depending on what's needed at the time.

Neither---walking or running works just fine.

Being an inanimate object makes the most sense---it is not logical to be 'life.'
Doggy wrote:Would you rather,

Neither---live as anonymously as possible.

There are never only two choices---always at least three.

None of the above is of any interest.

Sounds like a questionaire for entry to the School for Superheroes.

Doggy, where did you dig this up, and why?

Sounds like questions from a type of boardgame designed to keep the guests entertained by asking if they'd rather do 'A' or 'B'. It's pretty lame to my mind. Really it's purpose is to get a bunch of people high off of openly agreeing with each other over impossible scenarios.

That's the 'fun' of it as I gather, what do you think? ;)

I think the questions are pretty neat. They force a person who considers them to imagine scenarios that they might otherwise not be prone to think about. Given that imagination is vital to critical thinking, I think a consideration of such questions is a worthwhile activity to any who would find it amusing to do as much.
