The Master of Yourself

Post by overlord223 »

Have you ever observed a child's behavior? when a child wants that, he/she can achieve that? or if he/she wants something to do, he/she can do it easily. What about when something caught their attention? hey! they go ahead of it and look what is that.

Have you ever wondered why these attitude will slowly fade as we grow up, when we want something we will experience difficulties or some internal issues that gets in the way. When we see an opportunity, we usually procrastinate or too stubborn, too shy to do it and in the end getting the reward of regret.

this is based on my experience(i assume you've experience this too)... I was an enthusiastic, energetic, active being before. But now its really weird that these attitudes were replaced by laziness, stubborness, shyness or any unhealthy self degrading factor.

this makes me believe that reality is like doing a backward run.

as you age the more stupid you are. But Before you can be old and wise, you must first be young and stupid.

As we age, our minds expand and become more capable. We, however, keep the discipline of a child when it comes to managing ourselves. We have developed, cultivated and well-experienced brains that we allow to be scattered by the various distractions we've come in contact with in our experiences.

Do you know what a child would do if you could suddenly expand his brain, and at once give him stimulations/experiences that allow him to view the world with more layers of impression and meaning? He would probably sit around and be lazy, procrastinate, surf the internet, watch television and succumb to boredom. He would be exactly like us.

Anyways, what I'm saying is it's all an effort to conduct your own mind. I know this because I'm absolutely terrible at doing it, and thus I haven't accomplished hardly anything that I want to accomplish.
