Purpose of all life forms is to live, or rather to continue to create ripples of order in the serene chaos of the Universe. Some people believe that all the aspects of humanity are utilitarian and we can be likened to a fungus or an amoeba; the only difference being that we are more capable.
If we reject this idea that the amalgam of human behavior and thought exists simply to spread us like mold then I guess you might say that human beings choose their purpose.
I myself feel like this is a bit of a cosmic practical joke, our sentience allows us to perceive that our only purpose is to exist and spread. So we try to find 'better' reasons for living, which of course serves to ameliorate feelings of hopelessness and futility of purpose and allow us to continue to spread.
What is the purpose of life?

And scientism isn't a word.
Is it just me or does self-awareness and consciousness seem to arise simply from spare time? It arises when one has completed their already perceived purpose and now must find another.
Does it simply "arise" from spare time? Or is it that the confusion within the world/society prevents you from gaining self-awareness and the only time that you do notice it is in your "spare" time? Self-awareness is achieved through aligning mind and body.
As Talking Ass said it previously "Pay close attention to everything that happens to you and around you from this moment on."

The problem with being a god,Hai Kim..is that you will say D'oh like Homer everytime you don't abandon the illusions about your true nature..Tao has a way to do it..kisses:)Hai Kim wrote: ps..I always knew there was a god,and now I found the truth..it was me,Homer Simpson.
