I'm not aware of any practicing Jews amongst the regular posters, though Sam seems like a bit of a tight-arse who'd be happy to be caught selling bling. What aspects of Judaism interest you?

Whether the Zionist agenda makes any sense, ie, the Jews are trying to take over the world/the Jews have control of America etc.Dan Rowden wrote:I'm not aware of any practicing Jews amongst the regular posters, though Sam seems like a bit of a tight-arse who'd be happy to be caught selling bling. FYI, I'm anti all religion as I'm an atheist.

Well, the Zionist agenda has only tenuous connection to actual Judaic beliefs if you ask me so it's more a political issue hiding behind a religious history. It's a stretch to find anything especially philosophically edifying in it, frankly.
Re: Are there any religious Jews here?
not to mention Israel being a completely secular state, not at all a theocracy. Which makes "Judaism" and the whole religious significance of Israel one big self-masterbatory sham. And the real story of Palestinians being militarily expelled just gives it a nice cherry topping

The basis for Israel's creation was the holocaust, of course, it's very difficult to openly discuss the holocaust, and even more difficult because historians who study it are branded as neo-Nazi's etc.Dan Rowden wrote:Well, the Zionist agenda has only tenuous connection to actual Judaic beliefs if you ask me so it's more a political issue hiding behind a religious history. Generally speaking, you can criticize the hell out Christians, but any focus on Judaism/Zionism/Israel usually results in all sorts of unsavoury behaviour from the online authorities{admin/mods/senior members}.

Whilst most of what you said is true enough, the Holocaust was not the basis for creating Israel, it was simply the event that forced it to fruition. The Zionist agenda for Israel predates WW2.

Call it the catalyst then.Dan Rowden wrote:Whilst most of what you said is true enough, the Holocaust was not the basis for creating Israel, it was simply the event that forced it to fruition. The Zionist agenda for Israel predates WW2.
The thing I'm curious about is why most forums are so hypersensitive to discussing anything Jewish?.....if you say, "well because of the holocaust dude", I could then say, "why can't historians properly study the issue then".
When someone puts a blackout on a subject, I smell a rat.

Well, we're not sensitive about it round here; we just generally don't find it of great philosophical import. We are an enlightenment board, after all.

Do you accept that Jews/Zionists own and control the US mass media by and large?Dan Rowden wrote:Well, we're not sensitive about it round here; we just generally don't find it of great philosophical import. We are an enlightenment board, after all.

If your question doesn't have anything to do with enlightenment then it is out of place in this forum.DavidHenry wrote:Do you accept that Jews/Zionists own and control the US mass media by and large?

Re: Are there any religious Jews here?
Most people are brainwashed, there are many reasons for it, but the media play a huge role in informing{I wouldn't dare call it educating} people, so I thought it might be useful to know why the media is full of such junk.....granted one could simply write the media off as a junk product without worrying about which group has a major influence over it, but if it is the case that Jews or Zionists are out to dupe people, then it must also be understood that Jews are also prominent in the field of science, so I do think that this issue is worthy of consideration.Kevin Solway wrote:If your question doesn't have anything to do with enlightenment then it is out of place in this forum.DavidHenry wrote:Do you accept that Jews/Zionists own and control the US mass media by and large?
